The soft golden light of the morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the bedroom. Saachi stirred in her sleep, nestled amidst the fluffy pillows. She was draped in Adhyant’s crisp white shirt, the fabric slightly oversized, brushing against her thighs as she shifted. Her brown hair cascaded over her shoulders, the messy waves framing her glowing face as she slowly opened her eyes.
Adhyant was already awake, leaning back against the headboard with his arms crossed, a lazy smirk playing on his lips as he watched her. “Good morning, Mrs. Sherawat,” he said, his voice deep and teasing.
She blinked sleepily, her lips curving into a soft smile. “Morning…” she mumbled, her voice still groggy.
“Do you always look this adorable in the morning, or is it just for me?” he teased, brushing a strand of her hair off her face.
She yawned, stretching her arms, which caused the shirt to ride up slightly. Adhyant’s eyes flicked downward, and he chuckled. “Careful, wifey. My self-control has limits.”
“Stop being such a tease,” she said, rolling her eyes but unable to hide the blush creeping up her cheeks. She sat up, clutching the shirt closer. “And why are you staring at me like that?”
“Because you’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,” he said, his tone soft but still laced with mischief.
She swatted his arm. “You’re too much in the morning!”
“I’m just getting started,” he replied, leaning closer to her. “By the way, is that my shirt you’re wearing?”
She smirked, tilting her head. “Maybe. It’s comfortable, and it smells like you.”
Adhyant raised an eyebrow, pretending to be stern. “You know there’s a wardrobe full of your clothes, right? Why do you always steal mine?”
“Because yours are better,” she said nonchalantly, running a hand through her hair.
“And because you like driving me crazy,” he added, his voice dropping.
She giggled, pushing him back onto the bed. “You’re impossible, Adhyant!”
“And you’re irresistible, Saachi,” he shot back, pulling her onto his lap in one swift move.
“Adhyant!” she squealed, laughing as he held her securely.
“Hmm… What’s the plan for today?” he asked, his fingers tracing lazy circles on her back.
“Breakfast,” she replied. “I’m starving.”
“Shower first,” he said with a sly grin.
She narrowed her eyes. “Shower? You go. I’ll join later.”
“Oh no, wifey,” he said, standing up with her still in his arms. “We’re showering together. Saves water, you know?”
Her eyes widened, and she tried to wriggle free. “Adhyant, put me down! I’m not doing this!”
He smirked, carrying her toward the bathroom. “You don’t really have a choice, Mrs. Sherawat. Husband’s orders.”
“Since when do I take your orders?” she shot back, though her laughter betrayed her protests.
He paused at the bathroom door, setting her down for a moment. “Fine. You can stay here… but then you’ll miss the chance to share the hot water. And trust me, I take long showers.”
She bit her lip, trying to suppress a smile. “You’re impossible.”
“And you’re coming with me,” he said, scooping her up again and carrying her inside.
