Two weeks would pass as Lucius and Paimon would finally decide to visit Mondstadt, amidst murmurs from Amber about things being weird in Mondstadt over the recent weeks as Windblume approaches.
And so, the two return back to the city and approach Katheryne.
Lucius: Yo, Katheryne.
Katheryne: Ah, welcome back to Mondstadt, you two!
Paimon: Hey, Katheryne! Still doing the whole "no commissions during Windblume" thing?
Katheryne: In general, yes. The people of Mondstadt don't delegate their work to others this time of year. But...
Lucius: But?
Katheryne: Well... look around and I think you'll pick up on something unusual.
Following her suggestion, the two look around at the rather downbeat mood of the city, which heavily contrasted the usual upbeat vibe.
Paimon: It's like someone died...
Their eyes then turn to Beatrice and Quinn.
Beatrice: (sigh) It's finally Windblume, and here I am, ruining everything...
Quinn: You're a bit tired, no big deal. Give it some time. How about doing something fun tonight? We could take a stroll or go star-gazing?
Beatrice: Star-gazing? Like we'll find a spot... You know people start reserving places on Starsnatch Cliff the moment the sun goes down... (sigh) Sorry, I'm just... not in the mood. I should go.
Lucius: ("She never gives up a chance to talk to Quinn, that's definitely odd.")
Quinn: Oh, you're leaving? I can walk you home...

Despite that plea, Beatrice ignores him and walks off, leaving her best friend rather confused but a little downtrodden.
Paimon: Did you see that? Beatrice ran off without looking back... We go adventuring in other nations for a bit, and one of Mondstadt's best love — er, friendship — stories is already over?
Lucius: Maybe they're just working out the kinks?
Paimon: So, is this what you meant by "unusual," Katheryne?
Katheryne: This is just one example. Beatrice has been feeling down for days. But, that's not all.
Miles: Oh, it's the Honorary Knight and Paimon...
A Knight of Favonius named Miles calls out as they both look over to him.
Lucius: Uh, hi? You don't look so well.
Miles: (sigh) I know, a Knight should be stronger than this. But, I haven't been feeling right lately. I—I just can't focus... I started sleepwalking out of nowhere. Sometimes, I'd even wake up in the middle of the night standing in a random location outside.
