"Arshi Di is missing," Ishika's trembling voice echoed, slicing through the tension like a dagger.
The four words ignited an uncontrollable fury in Krish. Rage coursed through his veins, clouding his mind as his vision turned red. The mere thought of Arshi being in danger-or worse, someone hurting her-twisted his heart in the most gruesome manner. His jaw clenched, his entire body taut with suppressed wrath.
He hadn't distanced himself from her for this. He hadn't hurt her feelings only for someone else to harm her.
If anyone dared to touch what was his, he would skin them alive. And if anything happened to her... hell would break loose tonight.
"What? What are you talking about?" Rohan screeched, his voice cracking as his throat tightened with dread.
"Di... Di was here just now. W-what are you saying?" His words faltered as his panic grew, and Ishika shook her head, her own voice trembling.
"This... I found this at the back of the garden." Ishika held out a diamond bracelet.
Rohan's eyes zeroed in on the bracelet, and Ishana felt her stomach drop when Riddhima muttered, "It's Ms. Sinha's. I saw it on her wrist earlier."
Ishika's voice was almost a whisper as she added, "Rohan, we both know Di is very careful with her things."
"Stop kidding, Ishika. If this is a joke, it's the worst one," Rohan growled, his voice hoarse and laced with desperation. "You know I hate this kind of joke, and if it's about Di, I swear I'll dig you alive."
