{Yug's Apartment}
"Stop crying. Stop crying," Yug mumbled, his voice barely above a whisper as he watched Ishana cry miserably in his arms.
His hands gently stroked her back, trying to soothe her, but then-he felt it.
A sudden stillness.
The weight of her body slumped against him. His heart skipped a beat, a cold shiver running down his spine.
"Ishu! Ishu!!" His voice turned frantic as he called her, but there was no response.
Panic surged through him. He broke the hug, craning his neck to look at her face.
Her eyes were closed, her body eerily still.
"Hey!"
Akshu entered the apartment with a soft smile, but the moment she saw Ishana, her expression morphed into worry.
"Ishana?" Yug patted her tear-stained cheeks, trying to stir her, but she didn't react.
Akshu rushed towards them, eyes widening in alarm. "What happened to her?"
"Fuck!" Yug cursed under his breath, scooping Ishana up in his arms. His jaw clenched as he carried her in a bridal style, his heart pounding in his chest.
"I don't know! Bring some water!" He laid her down on the bed carefully, his hands trembling slightly.
Akshu didn't waste a second and ran to the kitchen.
Yug leaned closer, brushing a few strands of hair away from Ishana's face. "Ishu? Hey, open your eyes." His voice was desperate as he tapped her cheek gently.
He checked her pulse-it was there but weak.
Relief barely settled in when-
A harsh impact landed on his jaw, snapping his head to the side.
Yug stumbled back, wincing as sharp pain radiated through his face. He touched his lip, feeling the warm trickle of blood.
"What the-" He hissed, wiping the blood off his mouth, before snapping his gaze upward, lethal anger flashing in his eyes.
