A loud screech made Naruto cover his ears with his pillow,
"DDAAAAAADDDYYYYYYY!!!!!"
Tiny hands began mauling at him, trying to take away the fluffy white pillow he used to cover himself while giggles echoed in the master bedroom. The blonde slightly groaned, "Boru...give Dada five more minutes, please."
"Pancakes Daddy pweaasseee? Pancakes, pancakes!"
At two years old Boruto was far more alert, hyperactive and talkative than any other toddler Naruto had come across. He'd been told before his son was only just like him, and as Boruto grew, Naruto had gained much more respect and sympathy for his parents as far as what they went through with him. This little boy made Naruto question if he was even half as naughty as his son at this age.
Finally, the twenty eight year old removed the barrier he had between him and his son, losing his tiredness the second he saw the little boy with big blue eyes smiling widely at him. The messy blonde hair, ecstatic aura and two whiskers on each cheek never failed to make Naruto weak. Boruto beamed, "Good morning Dada!"
"Good morning Boru," he opened his arms for the little boy to fall in, giving his son the routine morning affection they both craved. Scalp kisses, soul warming hugs and a few minutes of improving Boruto's vocabulary. Once his receptive skills started developing, Naruto and Hinata were keen on getting their son to complete sentences and recite things from memory. Quickly they went over colors, the alphabet, and maybe a tickle or two was squeezed in for some lovely morning laughter. After that Naruto would lead his son to the master bathroom, where they brushed their teeth together and then headed down stairs to the kitchen.
Saturday mornings were Hinata's scheduled time to get some socializing in. Now that everyone's babies were in the toddler stage, routines shifted and all of the parents were actively penciling in what was the best time for friend time.
Entering the toddler stage was a rocky adjustment. A period where excitement as well as unease were battling back and forth for dominance. On a morning walk around Konoha's Central park trail: Hinata, Ino, Sakura and Ten Ten had lattes in hand as they discussed this very topic and more.
The platinum blonde rattled off dramatically, "Remember when I said I was having six kids? Well...I think I'm a one and done girly."
The other three dropped their jaws to nature's floor, Sakura blinked hard, "You...what?"
"Are you really Ino?" Ten Ten asked, "Because the Ino I grew up with was set on a cheaper by the dozen scenario." Since high school Ino had talked about being a soccer mom. It was her dream!
"Well," the blonde sighed, "Ever since Inojins birth I just can't imagine another one after him. He's too perfect in my eyes." Ten Ten cooed an "awe" as she rubbed her pregnant stomach. Although she was the first to get engaged and the second to get married out of her friend group, Ten Ten was now the last to conceive a child. In the few years that passed, Neji and Ten got several chances for practice. Babysitting Boruto, Sarada and Inojin on separate occasions. Even though she had a few more months until baby hyuga's arrival and even a few years to go before the terrible two's, all of the toddler talk was for sure preparing the brunette.
