Chapter Two:
The first thing I do when I get up is take a shower. Once I get out I get dressed, do my hair and make-up. I make my way downstairs. Halfway down the stairs I hear my brother talking and laughing. When I get close to the door I hear people. I walk out onto the deck and see a few guys talking to Kyle and Kim.
“Holly, you’re up!” Kim says.
“Yeah.”
“Is there anything I can get you?”
“No I’m fine thanks.” I make my way to the table and sit down.
“What in the hell happened to your head?” Kyle asks.
“I uh, go hit in the head with a frisbee last night.”
“By who?”
“Danny.” someone says before I can answer. “He was drunk and decided that it would be fun to play a game of frisbee.”
“I see.” I look back in forth between Kyle and…Taylor.
“So you’ve met then?” Kyle asks.
“Last night yeah, right Holly?” Taylor says.
“Yeah.”
“What are your plans for the day Holly?” Kyle asks.
“I don’t have any, probably just hanging out at the beach, why?”
“I was thinking that maybe Taylor could show you around town, if that’s okay with you.”
“Sure."
“Sounds good, just tell me when you want to go.” Taylor says.
“Just give me a minute to grab my cell.”
“Okay, I’ll meet you outside then.” I walk inside the house and upstairs into my room. I grab my phone off my dresser and start to head back downstairs. Halfway down the stairs I sprint back up and into my bathroom. I check my hair and put my lip gloss on. I stuff my lip gloss into my shorts pocket. I fix my shirt and check my hair one last time before heading down the stairs and outside. Did I just do what I think I did? Yes. I open the front door, head down the stairs and over to the driveway.
“Did you walk here?” I ask coming up behind Taylor.
“No, of course not.”
“Then how did you get here?” he moves to reveal a motorcycle. “You have to be kidding.”
“Nope. So are you ready?”
“I’m not getting on that thing.”
“Its harmless, I promise.”
“I’m still not getting on it.”
“How am I going to show you the town?”
“I’ll walk.”
“Holly come on, I wont let anything happen to you.”
I sigh and give in. “Fine.”
“Here you go.” he hand me a helmet and gets on. I put on the helmet and get on.
“You’re going to want to hold on.” I look for something to hold onto, not wanting to put my arms around him. “Around me Holly.”
“Oh right.” I put my arms around his torso. He starts the motorcycle and we take off heading towards town.
The motorcycle stops. “We’re in town now.”
“Okay.” I say.
He takes his helmet off. “Uh Holly, you can let go now.”
