Chapter Nine

Chapter Nine:

Today is the day of Taylor’s parent’s party. I have to dress formal but also casual. I have decided on wearing my cream colored dress. The top is cream with black polka dots and the straps and middle of the dress are black with cream colored polka dots. The bottom of the dress has small flowers that are many colors including cream, light brown, brown, violet, teal, blue, yellow, and orange. I braided my hair this morning when I got out of the shower so I take it down and put mousse in it to keep the curls. I then put a hairspray in it. Once done with my hair I put in a pair of small diamond earrings to match my necklace. Lastly I put on my favorite perfume. I grab my small black purse and slip my phone and lip gloss into it.

“Holly! Taylor’s here.” Kyle yells. I slip on my new pair of nice black flip flops and head down the stairs. When I get downstairs Kyle is talking to Taylor.

“Hey guys.” they turn around and face me.

Taylor smiles. “Holly you look amazing.”

I blush. “Thanks. You do too.” he is wearing a pair of white, blue and light blue plaid shorts with a light blue short sleeve shirt under a gray jacket.

“So Taylor, what time does this party end?” Kyle asks.

“Not until around midnight. But she can stay at my house after, if that’s okay with you Holly?”

“That’s fine with me.” I smile.

“She’ll be sleeping in the guest room.” Taylor adds.

“Good.” Kyle says.

“Ready?”

“Ready, ready.” I say.

“Ladies first.” Taylor says opening the door for me.

I smile. “I’ll be out in a minute.” he smiles at me and at Kyle before walking out the door.

“Kyle, what’s the harm in me sleeping in the same room with him?”

“He could try something.”

“He didn’t when he spent the night here.”

“I was here.”

“Yeah because he will so do something with his parents at the house and right down the hall! He is a good guy Kyle get it through you head, I like him and if you ruin this for me we wont talk ever again.”

“Fine but be safe and always, always use protection.”

“I know that Kyle, but nothing it going to happen.”

“Let me see your purse.”

“Why?”

“Just give me your purse.” I give him my purse and he fishes something out of his pocket and into my purse quickly before I can see what it is. He hands me back my purse.

“Bye.”

“Bye have fun.” Kyle says.

I walk out the door and to Taylor’s jeep. He is leaning against the jeep. He walks me to the other side and opens the door and helps me in.

“Thanks.” I say. He goes around to his side, gets in, and starts driving to his house. As we get to Taylor’s house and pull into the driveway there are tons of people here.

“Were all of these people here when you left?”

“Yeah, well there are lots more people that are on their way no doubt.”

“Wow.”

“My parents know a lot of people. Just wait until the party at the end of the summer. Your parents are supposed to be coming to that one.”

“Oh yeah, I remember them talking about that. But in the middle of August my best friend Julie is driving down to spend some time with me and of course she is going to meet you.”

“We wont get much time together then if she is here, will we?”

“Taylor, we put a cute guy that is a gentleman in front of her she will be set and wont even bother us for a second.”

He smiles. “That can be arranged.” My phone beeps. I open my purse to grab my phone and I see what Kyle put in my purse.

Condoms.

Ten condoms.
