Chapter Twelve

Its been a few weeks since I spent the night at Taylor’s. Tonight he’s taking me dancing somewhere. I pull on my lavender strapless dress that goes to my mid thigh. I slip on my silver heels and grab my purse. I put on a little bit of pink lip gloss.

“Holly! Taylor is here!” Kyle yells.

I smile and make my way downstairs. “I’ll call you later.” I kiss his cheek and head outside.

“Wow, Holly you looking incredible.”

“Thanks.” I blush a bit.

He kisses my cheek. “Ready?”

“Ready.” he takes my hand. “Taylor,” I laugh as he pulls me with him. “Where are you taking me?”

“You’ll see Holly.” he grins.

“Oh no, no, no, no, no.” I say. “I am not riding that thing again!”

“Baby girl you’ll be fine.” He pecks my lips.

I sigh and nod. “You always get me to say yes, I don’t know how but you do.” He grins and kisses me again, hanging me the helmet. He gets on his motorcycle.

“Coming?” he asks. I put the helmet on and he tightens it. I get on and wrap my arms around his waist, holding him tight. He chuckles lightly and then he starts driving. I bury my head in his back, I’m never going to get used to this.

“Baby girl, we’re here. You can drop the death grip.” I can here the grin in his voice.

“Oh very funny.” I smile letting go. I get off the motorcycle and give him the helmet.

He takes off his helmet. “You really hate this thing, don’t you?”

“Yes, it scares me. At any moment you could get hurt.”

He pulls me into his arms and kisses my forehead, nose, then lips. “You don’t have to worry, I’m a good driver nothing will happen. I promise.” I nod as he wraps his arm around my waist leading me to a building with a very long line. As we get closer I see his friends, that I met a few weeks ago at his parents party. I smile at them and Taylor leads us all to the front of the line. I look at him confused. He simply chuckles and kisses my temple. The next thing I know we’re all walking into the building.

Once inside I realize that we are at a club. We maneuver our way through the crowd and to a booth near the dance floor. The guys leave us girls at the booth to go and get drinks. Jess, Casey, Macy, Lucy, Bridget, Sarah, and Elle are all talking and involving me in their conversation, a little. They’re all talking about how good their boyfriends are in bed.

“So Holly,” Macy says. “how is Taylor in bed?” she grins.

“I wouldn’t know.” I tell her. “He and I haven’t slept together.” They all look at me with wide eyes. “What?” I ask.

“Its just shocking.” Lucy says.

“Why?”

“He seems so into you, its just odd that you two wouldn’t…” Just then all the guys come back, thank God.

Taylor pecks my lips. “You alright Holly?” he whispers.

I nod. “Yeah fine.” I whisper back. He wraps his arm around my waist pulling me close. I take a sip of my drink and lean into him. When half my drink is gone Taylor takes my hands and pulls me with him out of the booth and to the dance floor. I wrap my arms around his neck and start dancing with him, slowly moving my hips against his.

As Taylor kissed me I began to consider taking our relationship to the next level. I thought about what the girls had said, what they'd asked me, and my response. I thought about how safe I felt when Taylor held me and wondered if it would really be so awful if I slept with him. I trusted him. In the next few minutes I downed another cup full of something that stung all the way down-a little liquid courage-before returning to the dance floor with Taylor.

Taylor pulled away from our intimate kiss and I looked up at him, confused. "Come on," He smiled and took my hand, guiding me through the skin-tight crowd down a hallway full of doors. He chose one, knocked, and when there was no response he opened the door and pulled me inside.

"I can't do this," I said suddenly, pushing away from him, pulling down my shirt with shaky hands and backing away.

"Holly-" He began.

"No," I interrupted and shook my head. I felt my back hit the door and in the dark I groped for the door knob. "I can't do this," I repeated, my voice cracking as I tried to fight back the tears. "I don't know why but I just can't. I'm sorry Taylor."

And with that I turned and ran.
