Chapter Eleven

hey everyone so sorry for the very long wait! I had writer's block and then a million things going on.

Chapter Eleven:

I laugh. “Really? He did that?!”

Everyone laughs. “Yeah.” Andy says. “He nearly passed out when he saw you at that party.”

“I didn’t even know who he was.” I admit.

“Didn’t know who, who was?” Taylor asks wrapping his arms around my waist from behind and resting his chin on my shoulder.

“You.”

“Me what?”

“Dude I told her about the night at that party. The one you saw her at and almost passed out when you realized who she was.”

He blushes. “Dude! Why the hell did you do that?!”

“I think its cute.” I spin around in his arms so I’m facing him.

“Then you should see the corkboard in his room.” Andy laughs.

“What?” I ask and Taylor blushes again.

“It has pictures of you on it.” Taylor says and this time I blush.

“Oh, well there’s nothing wrong with that.”

“Even pictures from the past years where you didn’t remember me.” he says.

“I don’t care. Its sweet.”

“See, I told you its not creepy.” Taylor says to Andy.

“Dude, you’re totally whipped.”

“That’s fine with me.” I slide out of Taylor’s arms and grab his hand. “We’ll see you guys later.” he tells them as he pulls me away.

I smile as we walk away. “I know more about you now.”

“Oh really?”

“Yup.”

“Well what do you want to do now that we are alone?” I look around and see that we now inside his house, no one is inside, and in the living room.

“I have an idea.” I kiss him.

“I really like that idea.” he kisses me back. We kiss for awhile and I’m against the wall but not completely pressed up against it. He starts kissing my neck.

“Taylor?”

“Hm?”

“I…I’m….scared…” I stutter.

He stops kissing me. “What is it? What’s wrong?”

“About six months ago…..” I pause. “I’m sorry….” I run out of the house. Once in the back yard I continue walking and someone runs into me. The next thing I know I’m headed into the pool.

“Oh shit! I’m so sorry.” the guy that ran into me says. “here let me help you.” he offers me his hands and I take them as he pulls me out of the water.

“Holly wh¾ what happened to you?” Taylor asks looking me up and down.

“Someone ran into me and I fell in the pool.”

“Let’s get you inside and cleaned up.” I smile and he puts his hand on the small of my back leading me into the house.

"Thanks for that." I say to him.

"Do you know who ran into you?"

"Not a clue, but I would like to not be in a soaking wet dress." I say smiling softly.

“I’ll get something for you, would you mind borrowing something from my sister?”

“If she’s okay with it.” I say.

“I’ll get something from her, but I’ll take you to my room so you can dry off first.” He takes me to his room, gets me a towel from his bathroom and leaves to get me something to wear. His room is like most boy’s rooms. Clean but messy at the same time. There are some clothes on the floor, looks like gym shorts and shirts and sweatshirts mostly.

His friends were right. There are pictures of me on his bulletin board. Not just school pictures either. Pictures of me at the beach, reading outside in the spring, reading during the winter, me in the snow, me in the fall outside. Tons and tons of pictures of me. I will admit that it’s a little weird, but his parents started the bulletin board collage and I guess from what Kyle has told me, gave it to him. It really is sweet.

“I hope a dress is okay?”

“A dress is fine, thanks.” I smile as he hands it to me. “Do you think that you can unzip me?”

“Sure.” I feel the dress become looser as he unzips it. The dress is soaked and so am I. He wraps a towel around me and there is a knock at the door. He kisses my cheek and goes to get it.

“Hi little brother!” his sister exclaims.

“Hey Amy, what do you need?”

“Mom and dad told me about what happened, so I’m here to help!”

“Um, okay then.” she walks in.

“Hi Holly, I’m Amy. Its so nice to meet you, I’ve heard so much about you!”

I see Taylor blush a little. “Amy, zip it.” he sneers.

“Its nice to meet you too Amy.” I try to fix my hair which is all tangled up.

“Oh, honey let me help you.” Amy says coming over to me and helping. She runs to her room and comes back with a few things. Within twenty minutes my hair is fixed and no longer in a tangled mess.

“Thanks.” I smile.

“Oh no problem, now don’t be scared to come around here more because my baby brother is afraid he’ll be embarrassed.” she laughs and Taylor glares at her. “Oh don’t give me that luck, you’ve known her forever and its not like she wont find out everything anyway.

“Amy!”

“Okay, okay, I get it. I’m going.” she smiles and leaves the room.

“I’m so sorry about her.” he says pulling me close.

“Don’t worry about it, I mean my brother has embarrassed me enough as it is since I’ve been here.” I yawn. Today has been long.

“Want to get some sleep?” he asks.

“No, I’m fine. You’re parents still have a party going on and your friends are still out there.”

“Holly its fine, they wont miss me for one night.”

“But--”

“No, Holly if you’re tired we can go to bed.

“But--”

“Holly, I know you better than you think.” he says. “When you’re tired you can barely keep your eyes open, and you get irritable.”

Damn he knows me really well. I nod. “Damn.” He chuckles and grabs my bag, hanging it to me.

“Do you want me to leave or..?”

“You can stay.” he nods and we both start changing. He turns around when I take my bra off. I pull my shirt on quickly. “You can turn around now.”

“Do you want to sleep in here or the guest room?”

“If you don’t mind, I think I’ll sleep in here. I feel safe with you.”

He wraps his arms around me and he kisses my cheek. “You can always stay with me.” he picks me up and carries me over to the bed. He pulls the covers back and lets me get under them. “I usually sleep in my boxers and without a shirt…but I can put something on.”

“Its fine.” I tell him. I feel the bed dip and him pulling me closer. I cuddle up to him and smile. I kiss his chest and close my eyes, falling asleep.
