Chapter 13

Austin plonked himself down in the seat next to me when I was alone in the lunch hall.

"Hey, Hunter." He smiled and I smiled back, even though I was completely confused. We never spoke.

"Do you want something? Or?" I asked him with my face scrunched up.

"Well, it would've been awkward if I just sat at the other end of the table." He shrugged but I just studied his face.

"You're lying." I raised my eyebrows and he let out a sigh.

"Okay, fine. I need a favour." He told me and I nodded so that he would continue. "I don't know if you knew but it's Levi's birthday in like two weeks so Daniella and I are going to throw a surprise party for him."

"Oh my god, that'll be fun!" I squealed and he laughed at me.

"Yeah so we need to get him out of his house, would you mind distracting him for a few hours before the party? Daniella would but she has to decorate." Austin offered me and I think my heart stopped beating for a second. "If not I'll ask Drew."

"What? No! I'll do it. I'm more than happy to do it." I clapped my hands with excitement. Austin looked at me weird but smiled a little.

"Thought so." He replied and we quickly fell into an awkward silence. Well actually the whole lunch hall fell into an awkward silence.

Everyone's heads turned to look at the entrance where Levi walked into the hall with Nate by his side. Guys really don't hold grudges do they?

Levi walked over to the table with his head held high. He clearly wasn't bothered by the glares from students. Nate, however, looked quite scared.

"Hey guys." Levi grinned as he sat across from me, Nate sat down next to him.

"Uh- what?" Austin coughed. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"School let me back. I'm their top maths student. Can't get rid of me." Levi shrugged with a smirk. "Wait... Are you mad at me? Like Nate and I are cool now. I'm really sorry."

"Of course I'm fucking mad!" Austin raised his voice and Levi lost all the colour in his face. "I'm totally kidding, dude!" Austin burst out laughing and the rest of us laughed nervously.

I heard a massive huff behind me then a slam of a food tray at the other end of the table. Maisie looked at me and gave me the biggest glare ever.

"Hey, Maisie! Why aren't you sitting with us?" Levi smiled at her but she just stared blankly in front of her. Nate let out a sigh then decided to go sit next to her.

Levi looked upset at her reaction and I really felt for him. Honestly, Maisie has no right to treat him this way. Nate encouraged it. No Nate didn't deserve to get out in a coma but Levi doesn't deserve to be treated like a piece of shit on the sidewalk.

I might just be saying that because I'm so far up Levi's ass and she might just be feeling that way because she's way too far up Nate's. Either way I want her to stop being such a bitch to Levi.

In a few minutes our whole table was filled up. Dylan and Drew sat across from each other next to Levi and I. Their faces both had resting smiles which was a clear indication of what had happened.

"We skipped first and second to talk." Dylan whispered to me and I wiggled my eyebrows at them both. "We told each other our feelings. That is all."

"Uh huh. Sure." I winked. "OTP are making babies."

Drew spat out the water he had in his mouth while Dylan choked on the sandwich she was eating.

"Dude, what the fuck?" Levi looked at the water that had splashed into his school blazer in disgust.
