Two puzzle pieces
that should fit
take an unexpected turn:
They just don't match.
No matter how much
thinking,
debating,
convincing you do.
They're words who aren't
meant to be.
Throwing around cliches
into a bowl of conclusion,
It's the way my brain
makes that last step.
Under consciousness,
as in, not conscious?
How does that fit
with a bone torn away
from its joint?
But that's the thing,
they are too different
of words to be defined together,
as a concept.
Both are independent
in their own way,
but not in a way
that fits in each other's sentences.
Cliche conclusion?
Don't dwell on the fact
it didn't work out.
Just move on.
