Young Love and a Mother

Chapter 1

I woke up and grabbed my phone to see the time. It was 9:00 in the morning. Since Chase lives in Atlanta and I live in Los Angeles, California that means it was 12:00 in the ATL. I unlocked my phone to see that my baby had texted me...I guess he beat me 2 the punch as always since he's up before me. I loved our relationship and the little routines we did.. It was cute. I slide down my notification and clicked the message that read:

Good morning my beautiful angel.. The love of my life... My queen. I know your already smiling so let me make it bigger by saying that I love you... Your my life... Your my world I can't imagine being without you and I don't want 2. You truly are an angel.... My angel.

Chase was right, I was smiling big and bright he could always do that. That man knew me like no other and when I say "man" that's exactly what I meant. Chase is 20 and I'm 17 but to us our age and long distance didn't matter because we were in love. We didn't care what people thought. We've been together for a year going on 2. In the beginning I had a few doubts about his loyalty and honesty and my trust issues from my past relationships didn't help but Chase assured me that I had his heart and we promised each other no lies no secrets no matter how bad it hurt. I fell in love as time went on and trust soon followed because we didn't keep anything away from one another. I looked back at my phone with a huge smile re-reading his text then I replied:

"Awwww bae you always start my mornings off perfect with ur texts. I love you very much as well. Your my heart... You don't ever have 2 imagine your life without me b/c that's never gonna happen."

After sending the text, I locked my phone and got out of bed to brush my teeth and take a shower. I went to the kitchen and started to make breakfast. My mom and dad were working so I didn't have to make anything big just enough for me. As I turned on my Belgian waffle iron, because I didn't feel like flipping pancakes, my phone vibrated and started singing Luther Vandross always and forever.... Yes I love old school music but so did chase. We had a lot in common. It was a text from chase that read:

Baeee : "Looks who's up lol.... I'm blessed that I get to make my angel smile everyday. How'd u sleep."

Me: I slept well.. What about u.

I poured the waffle mix into the iron and close the top so it can cook evenly on both sides. Then I started to fry my ham. My phone vibrated and my ringtone played.

Baeee : I'm glad 2 hear and I slept OK.

I flipped my ham and took my first waffle out. then I made another waffle I let it cook and took that out as well and finished my ham.

Me: Why did u sleep OK??

Baeee : b/c u weren't wrapped in my arms.

Me: awwww bae

Baeee : wyd baby

Me: making breakfast

I grabbed a pan and put it on low heat... I rubbed some butter around the pan and started beating my eggs.

Baeee : oooooo what u cook us loll

Me: loll Belgian waffles,ham, and eggs.

Baeee : that sounds good baby girl.

Me: thank you

I started cooking my eggs and since that doesn't take long I was finished in no time. I set my plate and sliced a few strawberries to set aside my waffles. I grabbed a champagne glass and poured some orange juice then I slide a strawberry on the rim of the glass. I always liked to be extra. I grabbed my breakfast and headed to the living room to watch Maury and began eating. As I sat down my phone vibrated and the ringtone played.

Baeee : well beautiful I'm on my way 2 work. I'll text you or call you on break and when I get home. I love u.

My man had a good legit job working as the customer assistance at Apple. His car was fly too. My baby was pushing a 2016 Audi A8. He was smart at saving money. he was smart at a lot of things. I replied:

Me: alright baby I love u... please be careful out there u know this world is getting crazier and more dangerous everyday. I'll call u... I don't want u 2 call while my mom is around.

Baeee : I promise to be careful. I love u and make sure u call .

Me: I promise.

I finished eating. I started to reminisce when me and chase met.
