Both Harry and Ginny were counting down the days to their next visit to Padma, as it would be the last one before James' birth, hence it was significant for the pair, in particular for Ginny.
"Hello Padma!" Ginny chirped excitedly, taking her friend and mid wife into a tight embrace, a big smile etched upon her face as she did so.
"It's good to see you both" Padma beamed at the couple, "Come on then, lots to do and not much time to get through it all." She took one of the three cardboard boxes out of Harry's arms, (He had produced a feather-light charm on them), and gestured for them to come into her office.
"We've got a bit of paper work to do, it shouldn't take to long, but it's a necessity." Parma informed them, placing the box under her desk.
"Paperwork?" Ginny asked her in confusion.
"Yes, it's fairly standard, sort of like a registration form for you both, not all parents do it, but it will ensure you both get to me as quickly as possible, without having to sign in, meaning the wait to get a healer, seeing as you have decided to book the private room, you'll be sent straight in." She paused. "Then, you will be able to write down which individuals will be allowed to come in to visit, it essentially will prevent any random people coming in to see you, again, not everyone fills it out, but the girl who is in charge of visits; Marie, doesn't know who knows you or who doesn't like I do, and seeing as I will be with you Ginny."
"It's very specific." Ginny laughed, raising her eyebrows.
"Well that's birth." Parma replied, but not with the same humour in her voice. "We can't afford for anything to go wrong."
Questions varied from who she wanted present during the birth, what food and drink she wanted before and after the birth, (Ginny jokingly said Firewhisky, however neither Harry or Padma were to keen on the idea) and how long she had would stay in the hospital post the birth.
Ginny only wanted Harry and her mother present during the birth, obviously excluding her nurses and midwife's. She was rather shocked at how many things would be going on at once during labour, but ultimately she wanted it to be as quick as it possibly could, hence she didn't complain.
Despite Ginny's protests , she eventually agreed that Padma would take James immediately after birth, she would clean him, and assure everything was okay before she could hold him. She wanted to breastfeed James, as she was told that it was a nice way to bond and connect with the baby, and that it was the healthiest option for the baby.
Harry and Ginny collectively decided on who would be allowed to visit her after James' was born, they clearly wrote that only, Arthur Weasley, Molly Weasley, Bill Weasley, Victorie Weasley, Dominique Weasley, Charlie Weasley, Percy Weasley, Audrey Weasley, Molly Weasley II, George Weasley, Angelina Weasley, Fred Weasley II (If born), Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Andromeda Tonks, Teddy Lupin and Rubeus Hagrid were allowed in. They could have wrote a book on who they wanted to see James, and Ginny had suggested some more names, however, Harry knew that Ginny would regret that decision, as she would undoubtedly be exhausted, and wouldn't want to have to see dozens of people.
"That took longer than I had anticipated." Padma laughed an hour later, as she took the forms from the couple, who grinned apologetically. "But, it's going to make the process so much easier than it usually is."
"That's a relief!" Ginny laughed."Thank you Padma."
"No problem at all." Padma replied merrily. "Right, now lets go to your room, shall we?"
Padma took Harry and Ginny around the maternity room, it was a big room, with a big red velvet couch, and bed, as well as a sink, a fridge and an areas for the healers to sit and look after James once he was born, containing all of the necessary devices and assets that they would use.
