Ginny threw her head back onto the pillow, her eyes closed, muscles aching, feeling sore physically, emotionally and mentally. She had been tested in ways that she hadn't anticipated, in ways that she never believed she would, in ways that nothing or nobody could have ever of prepared her for. And it came with the ultimate reward: James Sirius Potter

Padma took James into her arms instantly, and the first look that Ginny got of her son, was of him touching her friend's clothing, in that moment he was still and silent, until his piercing screams filled the room. It was the most beautiful sound in the world. The sound of their child. This thought crept into both Harry and Ginnys mind, and they both cried in a similar fashion to their new born son.

Harry threw himself into Ginnys arms. Neither of them could believe what had just happened. They had been await this day for several months now.To them, it felt like years. But neither Harry nor Ginny could truly fathom that they were parents. That Ginny Potter was a mother. That Harry Potter was a father. It was going to take a lot of events and a lot of time for either of them to full comprehend that, and grasp the enormity of it.

They sobbed in each others arms for a moment. Not feeling the need to say anything. After several seconds, Harry let go of her, and he knew Ginny would want to see James-- he himself wanted to see James.

Harry looked on proudly. Not quite believing his eyes. He, Harry Potter was a father. Harry didn't believe he would make it past the age of seventeen, let alone manage to live so long that he would get to become a father. The tears continued to stroll down his face, but he didn't care. Somethings weren't worth crying over. But his tears here did not represent sadness. They represented happiness, and a lifelong dream being fulfilled.

In that minute after the birth, Harry glanced at Ginny on numerous occasions. Words could not describe how grateful he was for that strong woman. She gave him something beyond incredible, and he could never truly repay her for that.

Padma was as quick as she could. Babies with magical blood were different to normal babies. Obviously their build up of genetics and chromosomes differed, and as a result of this, studies had shown that there was a higher risk of infection from a young age. So Padma, Francesca and Wendy-Lee had to run several quick tests, in order to ensure James hadn't been born with any of these infections or diseases.

Various charms had been used on James, which was noticeable to both Harry and Ginny, as when Padma came towards them, with their son swaddled into a baby blue blanket, he was clear of all of the goo and blood that had been on him moments before hand. James had stopped crying, he merely whimpered and shivered, his little eyes scanning the room in confusion.

"Ginny, Harry, James Sirius Potter was born today. 19.6 Inches long, and 8.3 pounds, and as healthy as he can be." Padma told the couple happily, she beamed in delight, and gently, placed James in Ginnys patiently waiting arms.

Padma, Francesca and Wendy-Lee slowly and quietly, as to not disturb the family, crept out of the room, in order to allow the new family to have some alone time.

"Hello, my little Jamie," Ginny said softly, feeling more and more tears rush down her face, but Harry rubbed them off for her. Ginny looked up at him, and gave him a weak smile. He kissed her on the head, sitting on the edge of her bed. "I'm your Mum, and I love you so so much. More than you'll ever know." Ginny turned back to Harry. She looked deep into his eyes, but she didn't have to look far at all in order to see, what she knew was there; his tears. For some reason the tears made her value her husband so much more. She beamed at him, before looking back at James.
