Chapter 25

"Forget what I said about thanking whoever's causing chaos," yelled Cain as he dodged a Tarkatan, he summoned the shadow that used to be known as Baraka, the Tarkatan shadow took one of it's arm blades and stabbed it through the other Tarkatans heart.

"Hmm, should I, I mean I have a Tarkatan general, maybe I should get more," said Cain as he held a hand over the Tarkatan corpse.

"I'll save it for after the battle," Cain thought as he summoned more shadows to help push back the Outworlders.

"Alright everyone you know the drill, kill the all, bring me the corpses so I can contemplate making more soldiers," said Cain, the shadows nodded and left fight the Outworlders.

"Hey guys, who's ready for a daily dose of bodily harm, oh god I'm starting to talk like Peter," groaned Cain.

Marvel Omniverse

"What's wrong with talking like me?" was the question asked by every version of Peter Parker in the marvel Omniverse.

Every version of Cain just looked at him and rolled his eyes.

Mortal Kombat

Another Tarkatan ran up at Cain and tried to stab him, "are there anything other than Tarkatans attacking us?" Cain asked as he grabbed the bone like spike blade tore it out of the Tarkatans arm, and stabbed it through the mouth.

Once Cain and his shadows were finished Cain just looked at the multitude of Tarkatan corpses, "fuck it, I always need and want more power," said Cain as he raised a hand.

"Arise," Cain said and the Tarkatans rose as shadows.

"Shadow Tarkatan Infantry, Baraka, this'll be your legion," Cain said to the Tarkatan shadow general who just bowed and much like Iron used to began grunting and growling hyping himself and the Tarkatan legion up.

"This is going to be like Iron isn't it?" groaned Cain rubbing his forehead, and he sent the shadows away for now.

Cain went looking for the others and he found them clearing out the rest of the Outworld army above him flew a man controlling the wind, and storm who landed upon noticing Cain.

"Everything alright?" asked Storm.

"Yep, added some more Tarkatans to my shadow army," said Cain.

Cain looked at the man controlling the wind, "must be another god," Cain thought.

An explosion catches Storm and Cain off guard and they look over and see Magik fighting alongside a blind swordsmen, who's blade glowed blue, and seemed to summon a blue spirit on occasion, meanwhile Magik summoned her demonic soulless to assist her proving her title as queen of Limbo.

Getting annoyed, Cain summoned his shadows once more and let his shadows play, The shadows entered the battle, Igris cutting down opponents with his massive sword, Iron slammed a hammer down on some enemies crushing them, Beru tore off his opponents heads with his mandibles before cutting more to ribbons with his claws, Tusk fired off fire balls, Tank tore out the throats of his enemies, Baraka stabbed his with his spike claws.

As the shadows cut down their opponents Cain just watched, he felt some pain, but not as much as before.

"Now, time to end this farce of a battle," Cain said as he disappeared activating stealth and he began to cut down the enemy forces with his daggers.

Once he was sure the others had it from here, he grabbed some of his shadows leaving the rest to continue to help and went to another part of the academy.

"He seems stable, whatever Wanda did seems to be working for now," said Petra.

"Is there anything we can do to help him?" asked Peter.

"Likely, we'll need to talk to Anansi and Neith about how wee can help, but I think we can start by seeing if any soul pieces are in our universe so we can point Cain in the right direction," said Petra.

"You would be right my dear host," a voice said in Petra head.

"Neith?" asked Petra.

"Yes, I needed to get away from Anansi and the others, they were getting annoyed at my Zarathos fantasies," said Neith.

"That's like Peter, Kaine, and Ben getting annoyed with me for my Cain fantasies," said Petra.

"I knew you'd get it," said Neith.

Mortal Kombat.

Cain in stealth killed many Outworld soldiers leaving Shadows to help clean up any mess left behind when he and Igris came across the portal.

"This must be how they're getting in Igris," Cain said, the silent knight just nodded his head, Cain looked down and spotted a body near it, Cain focused till he could make it out.

"Jax," Cain said as he headed down to the man and he found him and he jumped down towards him with Igris in tow, Cain checked the mans pulse which he found still going strong.

"Thank god your ok, Igris, take Jax to Raiden or Beru for healing," Cain ordered Igris picked the man up and ran off.

"Shouldn't have sent your loyal guard away like that Blaze," said a voice as Cain was sent flying.

Cain tried to stand when he heard footsteps and from the shadows stepped Quan Chi, "Quan Chi, to afraid to fight me when I have my army with me," Cain said smirking.

"Never waste time on my lesser, that's what I believe Shadow Rider, and you do as well, given you've been letting your shadows do all the work," said Quan Chi.

"No, random grunts just get annoying sometimes," Cain groaned.

Another figure followed after Quan Chi, Abel Blaze.

"Abel," Cain growled.

"Nighty night, Blaze," Abel growled as he kicked Cain in the face knocking the Rider out.

The Abyss Rider sets a boot down on Cain moving his head making sure the young Rider is out of it, Quan Chi then summons chains and ties the rider up.

Abel then takes out an amulet and puts it on Cain, "this'll prevent him from switching places with a shadow, as well as prevent Scarlet Witch, or Magik from finding his energy," said Abel.

Two more figures appeared after the Abyss Rider and ruler of Nether realm, Kano, and Scorpion, take him to Sheng Tsungs flesh pits, he'll make a decent meal for the emperors daughter, the pair of kombatants grabbed the Shadow Rider, and dragged him into the portal.
