Guess who had to wake up bright and early just to make sure we caught our flights. MY FAMILY. Okay sorry, I'm just cranky because the groupchat kept me up last night.
Kept saying they'd miss me, kept talking to me about random stuff to stall, you name it. Eventually I did hang up and go to sleep though luckily.
It's just I didn't get my usual beauty rest and instead got an ogre rest. Ready to hop on that boat already.
Anyway we're finally leaving and I've been so excited. I got my hair did, nails did, I honestly don't even look my age.
I don't know how my outfits got approved by ma dukes but I'm glad they did. Ima look so sexy!
— After what felt like forever, we finally made it to the cruise terminal. I was running on fumes, but the second I saw that big-ass ship? Oh yeah, the excitement kicked in real quick.
We went through check-in, which was just a bunch of standing in lines, handing over documents, and waiting some more.
My feet were already yelling at me, but once we stepped onto the ship, it was worth it. That ocean breeze? The views? Yeah, this was about to be a trip to remember.
The first thing I did was check out our room. It was cute, way smaller than a hotel, but I wasn't even mad.
I wasn't planning to spend much time in here anyway. I threw my bags on the bed, flopped down for a second, then checked my phone.

I sighed, laughing a little as I walked over to the balcony and snapped a picture of the water. Sun shining, ocean sparkling..it was unreal. I sent it to the chat, and instantly, notifications started rolling in.

I smirked at my phone about to reply but before I could type anything, my door flung open.
Ava came running in, full speed, already in her little swimsuit, Alexis trailing behind her. "Sissy! Can you take us to the pool deck? Pretty please!"
I barely had time to react before she was pulling at my hand, practically yanking me off the bed. "Damn can I breathe first?" I laughed but she wasn't having it.
"No. Pretty please with a cherry on top?" Alexis looked mad serious like she wasn't just hyping Ava up.
I glanced at my phone one more time before sighing. "Alright fine. Let me throw on my swimsuit real quick."
The chat was still going off as I moved to get ready. Once I was done, I texted them that I'd be out with the twins.

I rolled my eyes but smiled grabbing my room key and grabbing pre-packed 'beach' bag. Vacation had officially started.
"Y'all better not get me in trouble," I warned putting my braids into a low messy bun. Ava gasped dramatically. "We are angels!" Clever. Alexis nodded. "Perfect little angels." Little was the only true word I heard.
I just gave them a look. "Mhm. Y'all always say that before causing chaos." They giggled but didn't deny it.
We made our way through the halls, the cruise ship buzzing with people. It was barely noon, but families were already out, music was bumping, and the smell of food had my stomach growling.
As soon as we got to the pool deck, the twins took off, running towards the shallow side. I trailed behind, finding a good lounge chair to throw my bag on before sitting down and unlocking my phone.

I took a quick pic of the deck. The massive pool, kids running around, adults sipping on drinks, whole shebang then I and sent it.
Ava and Alexis were already splashing around and for once they weren't causing problems. I leaned back, letting the sun warm my skin, and let out a deep breath.
This? This was exactly what I needed. No stress, no school, no drama. Just vibes.
