When the ex-gang member finally reached the school, his honey eyes went wide. 8:49. Okay so maybe he was enjoying the car a little too much. He rushed inside and ran purposefully to his form room. He inched the door open to find that class was already in session. Okay so maybe he took a detour to prolong his joy-ride.

The teacher instantly looked towards the blonde. "Sorry Sir, I had er... I had. Car trouble. Yeah." Joey stuttered.

"Alright, don't let it happen again." The teacher huffed slightly and continued with what he was doing.

The blonde nodded and headed over to his seat next to his friends.

"Hey Joey, I didn't know you had a car!" Yugi smiled as the blonde took his seat.

"Yeah man, how did you get it?" Tristan asked eagerly.

"Well it's a long story. She is an absolute beauty, I'll show you at lunch."

"Awesome!" Téa cheered. "Then maybe you could take us all for a ride."

"You betcha."

As the dreary school bell rang, the gang all headed out to the school car park. Upon reaching the beautiful silver Porsche, Joey flung out his hands. "Ta da. What do you think?" He smirked. The rest of the group just stared at him like he was an idiot.

"This is the worst joke you have ever pulled man..." Tristan said, clearly unamused.

"No joke." The blonde replied, pulling out set of keys from his pocket. Clicking the button on the keys, two orange lights beamed bright for a brief second. The gang's expressions soon turned priceless as they stared in shock at the ex-gang member.

"What the? There is no way you could afford a car like this! So, what's the story?" Téa gawked at the gleaming silver beauty.

Joey stood there with a wide grin on his face. He had never seen his friends quite like this.

"Wait, Joey. The licence plate says 'KC'. That's what all Kaiba's vehicles are marked with." Yugi pointed out. The group was now confused as ever.

The blonde's heart almost stopped beating. He could feel it rise up into his throat. He was so busy showing off that he completely forgot the car was actually Kaiba's.

"Er, yeah. The car is Kaiba's but... Erm. I won it." He stuttered, thinking on his feet.

"By..." Téa added.

"By defeating him in a game of duel monsters." Joey blurted out before thinking. He instantly knew he would regret this.

The three companions cheered eagerly. "You defeated Kaiba?! Joey that's amazing!" Yugi cried.

"Way'd a go man! You finally showed that cold hearted b**tard who's boss!" Tristan spoke up.

"He ain't that bad guys." Joey added softly.

"Are you saying you feel bad for that arrogant jerk? Nawh, Joey's got himself a crush!" Tristan said the last part sarcastically.

"Shut up Tristan!" The blonde acted convincingly. "He got what was coming to him." He added painfully.

"Right!" Tristan jumped on the blonde. "Now we get to enjoy the luxury of this mighty fine car." He thrust his fist up, grinning wildly. He then released his grip on the blonde and hopped into the gorgeous car, admiring the just as stunning interior.

"Come on guys, we better get back inside." Téa announced. Tristan whined but followed the group back into the school. As they waltzed back into the building, everyone was staring. Especially at Joey. The fellow students began to congratulate him and whisper to their friends about his victory against Kaiba. Someone had gossiped.

The blonde stopped in front of this friends and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Which one of you squealed?" He sighed. Tristan whistled awkwardly whilst the others looked in confusion. "TRISTAN!" Joey growled.

"I may have told Duke who told, well, everyone." He smiled awkwardly, placing his arm behind his head.

Joey face palmed. If Kaiba found out, he was dead.

Lifting his head, the blonde saw the pale expressions of his friends. They were all focused of something or someone behind Joey. Gritting his teeth fearfully, he turned around with caution. And of course, there stood the infamous CEO. Raging blue eyes glued themselves onto the blonde.

"Follow me." Was all that was said, in a blunt and harsh tone.

The brunette then turned and paced down the hall. The ex-gang member hung his head and followed. The pair soon gained the attention of the whole corridor. Silent 'Nice knowing ya's were clearly visible from the other students.

Kaiba led the blonde into an empty classroom and locked the door behind him before speaking.

"You told everyone you beat me at a game of duel monsters?!" He said bluntly, his voice slightly raised.

"I'm sorry Kaiba, it just slipped out. I didn't mean it to spread." He protested softly, as Kaiba paced around the room.

"You made me look weak." The fury clearly built up in the azure eyes which were fixated on the blonde.

"I was under pressure and I had to come up with an excuse. I truly am sorry, I wasn't thinking." The other flustered. Joey placed his head in his hands. He knew how serious Kaiba was about his reputation as a duelist. It was over between them and the blonde knew it.

Silence lingered in the air and all Joey could do was shield the pain in his eyes. The blonde then removed his hands and looked up in astonishment, after feeling a pair of muscular arms wrap around his waist. The brunette's gaze received a glance of confusion.

"Well, you didn't spill our secret which is the most important thing. So I guess I can forgive you."

"Really?" The other smiled in awe, letting a stray tear roll down his cheek.

The CEO nodded and smashed his lips against Joey's. The blonde melted into the kiss and snaked his arms around Kaiba's neck. But the human need for air soon became known.

"Now man up!" Kaiba gave half a smile, wiping away Joey's tear. "And let's go. Or people might think I murdered you."

The blonde chuckled and gave the other a chaste kiss on the cheek. The pair then stepped out of the classroom to an audience which was surrounding the door. They all turned and tried to make it look like they weren't paying attention. The brunette huffed and walked away, leaving Joey to be asked a million questions about how he was still alive.
