A/N - Soo a quick info, Yuemei read the novel before being tossed into this world... However since she is a foreign entity in the world, she is causing ripples... I'm taking the liberty to match those ripples with "The Untamed" version, like Yanli at gusu, and you can see more such in the upcoming chapters where you would see the webseries versions...

Happy reading 😄

They arrived at Caiyi Town, after four weeks of traveling from Fenghua manor and that evening was far from the smooth transition Yuemei had expected. The bustling streets and glowing lanterns painted a picturesque scene, but the overcrowding was a harsh reality none of them had anticipated. Every inn they approached seemed to echo the same refrain: full. As the Jiang and Feng disciples trudged through the streets, exhaustion mounting, they finally stumbled upon an inn with empty rooms.

Relief surged through the group until the innkeeper informed them that the entire establishment had been reserved by another sect for the night.

"That's ridiculous," she muttered under her breath, stepping slightly to the side to observe the situation.

Wuxian, on the other hand, perked up immediately. "Wait, wait, wait-another sect?" His grin widened. "Don't tell me... is it Lanling Jin?"

The way the innkeeper hesitated and remained silent which was an answer in itself.

Yuemei scoffed. Of course it was. She forgot how arrogant the Jin sect members were.

She watched with mild amusement as Wuxian sauntered over to a Jin disciple standing nearby. Within moments, he had the poor man eating out of the palm of his hand.

"Come on, Shixiong," Wuxian said, slinging an arm over the disciple's shoulder. "Surely your noble and generous sect wouldn't mind sharing just one floor? We'll stay upstairs, keep out of the way-you won't even know we're there!"

The Jin disciple wavered. "But Young Master Jin-"

"We'll make sure not to disturb him." Wuxian gave him an easy, winning smile. "Besides, wouldn't it reflect so well on Lanling Jin if word got out that they graciously allowed fellow cultivators a place to stay? Think of the reputation."

That did it. Within minutes, a deal was struck and Wuxian walked back to them all smiles.

"We've struck a deal," he announced. "We'll stay on the second floor and promise not to disturb their 'young master's' precious peace."

"Only you could pull something like that off," Jiang Cheng muttered, rolling his eyes.

Yuemei smirked at Wuxian's antics, That man could charm the bark off a tree if he wanted to. But said nothing outward, Instead was observing as the Jiang and Feng disciples made their way to the second floor and began adjusting themselves into the rooms. The rooms were modest but clean, and after the long journey, it felt like a luxury. And given the time together during their journey both the sect disciples have become quite close and no one would believe that they have only met two weeks ago. She might not like the Jiang family in general, but the disciples were absolutely amazing and it should have been a given because Wuxian was the one who trained them and some of them were brought into the sect from the streets by him. She knew that they would follow their Da-Shixiong for life. And Yuemei noted all those people, as she was sure that they would help her out in the future if needed.

Just as she began to relax, a commotion erupted outside. She walked outside adjusting her robes, when she found him.

Yuemei didn't have to guess who it was.
