"When the Fox hears the Rabbit scream he comes a-runnin', but not to help."

"So, we meet again." My dark twin laughed, walking up to me. "You really thought we wouldn't see each other again."

It stopped in front of me.

"I warned you, didn't I?" My twin laughed mockingly. "You'll finally become a murderer," She placed her hand on my shoulder. "You're just like me."

I smacked her hand away.

"How many times do I have to tell you? I'm nothing like you." I snarled.

She shook her head and laughed.

"Heh, denial. It always amazes me who falls victim to it."

"I'm not in denial," I growled.

"Really? Are you sure? Because right now, you have the most crazed look that just screams murder!"

"What are you—"

"Look over there," she said, pointing to her right.

What I saw sent a chill throughout my body.

I was fighting the Commander and we both have this wild look in our eyes; the intent to kill. We both wanted to kill each other.

"That's not me," I whispered weakly.

"Hiding behind denial again?" She asked as she stood next to me.

"That's you—the real you. Just like me."

"No, no, no," I shook my head. "Damn it, I'm not a murderer!"

"We eventually become the person we swore we would never be. It's sad but true."

That's not me, it can't be me.

I grabbed my twin by the collar of her jacket and shook her roughly.

"Take me back, damn it! I have to stop!"

"Why would you want to do that? You always wanted him dead, now's the chance to let that happen."

I let go of her.

"It's true, isn't it? You want him dead; you want him to suffer for what he did."

I fell on my knees, the realization causing me to lose my balance and covered my mouth with my hand as tears spilled down my cheeks.

I just wanted to escape Silent Edge, hoping to never meet the Commander again, but he's starting to push me further into a choice I don't want to make. Turns out I have a darker side to me than I thought.

"The truth hurts, doesn't it, Silver?"

I didn't respond.

"You've wanted them dead; all of them. And you wanted to kill them all more than anything."

She crouched to my level; looking at the strange portal that showed me and the Commander fighting.

We had blood on us, but none of us seemed to care. What we really cared about was letting the last drop of that red liquid run and seeing one of us take our last breath, signaling the end of our life.

We were murderers.

"Looks like what everyone thought about the Dragon Race is true: They all become killers in the end." My twin taunted.

She lifted my head with her finger so I could look her in the eye.

That wicked smile spread across her face.
