Tes Encletus Lantes.
The Honored Ones.
Cloud is there. He's not completely gone.
"Please, show me the way. I need to see him again." I pleaded with the Spirits.
Nothing happened and I was beginning to lose hope when a path like before lighted the way for me.
"You deserve happiness, young one." I heard multiple voices echo through the forest. "We are more than happy to give you what you have desired for so long."
"Thank you, Wise Ones."
I ran, following the labyrinth-like path.
Cloud.
I'll be able to see him again.
Colors blurred passed me, my determination only growing. My lungs burned but the sensation only pushed me further.
A light flashed in front of me, bringing me to an abrupt halt as I shielded my eyes.
I carefully opened my eyes after a few seconds. The light had completely faded leaving me in a wide valley filled with thousands upon thousands of flowers varying in color and shape. There were splotches of colors from the flowers that looked like puddles that mixed with the vibrant green of the grass. The air smelled sweet, inviting. There were no trees just rolling hills and flowers. It had a joyful atmosphere; everything was full of life.
I almost never wanted to leave this place.
My blood pounded in my ears as my ragged breathing gradually slowed.
"Cloud?" I whispered, awed that such a place exists, that this is where the heroes go.
"Cloud!" I exclaimed over the soft breeze.
"S-Silver?"
I gasped, feeling tears well in my eyes. I was afraid to turn around, thinking that I'll see red in his eyes. No. Azazel is in that Dark Forest; they're separate beings now. They will no longer merge together. Azazel won't use Cloud anymore aside from his appearance.
"I-It's okay, Silver. He's not here anymore."
I still didn't turn around.
"Please believe me." His voice cracked with emotion, making a sob escape me.
I laughed dryly.
"You're still an idiot, you know that?" I finally, slowly, turned around meeting his blue sparkling eyes.
"I know I am. You don't have to remind me all the time." He pouted.
His appearance was still the same but he looked more happy like he's been freed from chains after waiting for so long for freedom. I think anyone would be happy to be free from Azazel.
Lowering my gaze, I hesitated when I noticed that my clothes were still stained with his blood. My outfit was still torn in places; evidence of a battle neither one of us wanted to be a part in.
A shiver ran down my spine.
How can he smile when my appearance is still drenched in the horrible choice I had to make?
Despite this, Cloud didn't say anything. He continued to radiate a light I would never be able to hold.
"I don't care how you look, Silver. I'm just glad you're here." He reassured.
