Lost

"Ummm, sorry about Amanda... She's... Ummmm... Special." I said emphasising the 'Special' hoping she would hear! Eddie chuckled and said "I noticed..." We both looked at the door and sure enough we heard Amanda yell "I CAN STILL HEAR YOU GUYS!" Eddie and I just ran off laughing so hard I had to stop to catch my breath, "Wait, is this the way to the Dinner Hall?" I asked looking around. All I could see was a big trophy cabinet and a dusty old piano in the corner of this room we were in. "Oops, umm... I think we went the wrong way. Follow me" he said awkwardly then moved to leave the room but I stopped him "Wait. Whats this room used for?" As I was speaking Eddie drew closer to me and gripped my arm "Well whatever it's used for I don't think we are meant to be here!" He sounded slightly scared "Your not scared are you?" I asked a little amused. " of course not! I'm scared for your safety!" As he said that he posed as superman for a second "You really are a weird person Edward Redmayne..." I said laughing at him, "I know. It's a gift. Well shall we get going or what?" Eddie said opening the door for me. "Why thank you kind sir" I said curtsying, "So how do we get to the dinner hall from here?" I asked; it was completely silent around here. Deserted. Quite spooky if you ask me. "Are you scared Sam?" Eddie asked, not teasing me though, he sounded genuinely concerned. I guess my face said it all because Eddie came over to me and Wrapped his arms around my waist hugging me from behind "Better?" He asked. I suppose some people would think it awkward; a boy you barely know hugging you like this... But it felt somehow right. Like it was meant to be "Much Better thanks... I think we go down here to get there" I said pointing down a dark corridor. Eddie came back round to face me and looked at my face again, he was gazing into my eyes. It felt as if he could see into my soul and and he saw fear. Recognising this he look my hand and started to walk with my fingers intertwined in his. As we walked down the corridor he said "Come here" and opened his jacket up so that I could bury my head in his chest and not see where we were going. I thanked him and we both started walking. I could smell Eddie's cologne and it made me feel safer, we eventually reached the end if the corridor and arrived at the Dinner Hall. Eddie looked at me obviously embarrassed about what happened back there. Not as embarrassed as me though! I turned bright red and had to turn away from him. It was only then I realised the Dinner Hall was empty except for a few cleaners. Damn. We were too late! I looked at Eddie and said "Too late." And sat down at a table... I looked back at Eddie who looked thoughtful "wait a second..." He said whilst running towards the kitchen, he started talking to the lady behind the counter... In French. He came back and sat down next to me "Shall I call you Monsieur now? I never knew you could speak French! Especially not fluently!" Eddie went red and said "when I was younger we went to France alot so I guess I just picked it up!" Wow. Impressive. I don't know why but I felt like I could listen to him all the time speaking French, it sounded so beautiful. "well, I have arranged for a cocoa to be made for us (even though we are late!)" he said the last bit with a chuckle, I couldn't believe him. How had he managed to convince that lady to reopen the kitchen? Before I could think anymore, the kitchen lady came out with our cocoa's and placed them in front of us "Voilà! Bon appétit!" I said in my best attempt at a French accent "Merci Beau-Coup!" She just laughed at me and walked of. Slightly confused at why she laughed I asked Eddie (who was grinning like a Cheshire Cat) why she laughed at me "Your accent was umm... Different..." He said to me, I slapped him on the arm and said "Oi! At least I tried! I can't speak French at all that's the only thing I know how to say!" As I said that Eddie gently wiped of a bit of cocoa that was on the side of my mouth "Maybe I could teach you?" He said moving his hand away " I would love that thank you!" I was so grateful to Eddie for this offer! It was going to be tough teaching me! " on our way back to your room I will teach you a phrase that is very useful, how does that sound?" He asked getting up from the table "Great!" I said also getting up, I took his mug and gave it back to the lady "Merci" I said again, trying really hard to sound French... But alas she laughed at me again. Ugh. As I turned around I was greeted by Eddie who took my hand again and lead me back to my room. We didn't talk on the walk back strangely enough. I was thinking to hard to start a convosation, it was only until Eddie gently tapped my arm that I realised he was trying to get my attention "j'adore" he said. I just stared at him blankly he repeated "J'adore" I stared at him blankly again. He laughed and said "J'adore! The French phrase you wanted to know" it just dawned on me what he was doing "sorry I was lost in my own world... What does that mean?" I asked curiously, "I'll tell you later" he said, we were almost back at our rooms "wait!! What subjects are you taking!! I haven't asked you! " I said turning to face him, I hope to god he has at least one lesson with me! "Umm, English, art, music and Drama. What about you?" I was so shocked, I couldn't believe it! We were taking the exact same subjects! Once I told him this he seemed really happy "well can I pick you up tomorrow and take you to breakfast? We can go to lessons after that?" He asked shyly, looking away from me "Of course! That would be so fun! Thank you! But can I bring Amanda? I'm sure she would love to properly meet 'i'm taking Sam to get cocoa boy!" I asked smiling " you have dimples! They are so cute!" He said whilst touching them, immediately afterwards though he turned bright red and said whilst staring at the ground "umm, sorry about that... Yeah Amanda can come, sure thing! Can I bring my friend Aaron along as well?" I nodded forgetting the dimples thing, if I'm being honest I liked it when he did that; it made me feel special and warm inside. "I'd love to meet him! Please bring him along! I'm sure Amanda would approve" I said whilst winking at him. I opened my door quietly and turned around to say goodbye to Eddie, I looked at his face and took my hand off the door handle and went over to him and kissed his cheek "Thanks for everything" I noticed Eddie turn even redder than before and mumble something back. I walked into my room; turned around and waved at him before shutting the door. And collapsing on to my bed. 'what a night!' I thought to myself but then was hit in the face with a pillow; Amanda. "WHAT TIME DO YOU CALL THIS? DISGRACEFUL BEHAVIOUR SAMANTHA. DISGRACEFUL" I laughed at Amanda and pulled her into a hug, "We have breakfast buddies tomorrow!" I said squeaking "who who??" Amanda said looking super excited "Eddie and his room-mate Aaron. They are escorting us to breakfast! " as I said this Amanda said "well we better get some good sleep or we'll look like dried, shrivelled Brussel sprouts by morning!" I was shocked. How does she know I like Brussell sprouts? Reading my mind she said "Your sister told me!" But before I could ask any more Amanda jumped Onto her bed and just fell asleep. 'She really is crazy' I said to myself getting into my Pajamas and sliding into bed. As soon as my head touched the pillow i fell asleep. Shattered. What a day!
