Les Miserables!

I swear I have never had such a great English lesson. Our teacher is called Mr.Hugo and his favourite author is Victor Hugo (the author of Les Miserables) he told us that he got to pick what we focused on this term and he picked Les Mis! Eddie and I were practically bursting with excitement from the second Mr. Hugo entered the room. In today's lesson we read the start of the book and analysed it so far, it was an amazing read so far, but quite confusing! Eddie saw how confused I was at one point in the lesson and explained it again for me so I understood! We were given homework to research one character and present it in next lesson. As we made our way to music Eddie asked "That was fun! So who you doing for the homework? I think I'm going to do Gavroche!" I laughed at him "Gavroche? Really? I thought you would do Marius... I would have thought he was more relatable to you! I think I'll do Eponine... I love how her life was cold and dark, yet she was unafraid. And the fact she would take a bullet for Marius" Eddie nodded in agreement "yes, I agree" but before he could say anything else we were walking into our music classroom... There was no-one else in there! I was so confused and over at Eddie who looked just as confused as me "Im sure our class was a group class, right?" Eddie said "We'll that's what I thought as well, it says he-" I was cut of by a woman entering the room "Why hello! You must be Edward Redmayne and Samantha Barks? Is that correct?" She said looking at her clipboard that she was carrying and then at us "Well then, sit down! Sit down! I need to ask you some questions!" Eddie and I both exchanged glances and sat down opposite the woman "Well I'm Mrs. Kelly, your music teacher... So tell me... What's your favourite musical? What's your favourite song?" Eddie looked at me to answer "Well, my favourite musical is Les Miserables and my favourite song is On my Own, but I love a Little fall of rain, it makes me cry though!" Once I had finished speaking Mrs. Kelly jotted this down and then looked at Eddie who said "I like Les Miserables too! My favourite song would have to be One Day More! But I have to admit A Little Fall of Rain is beautiful!" She again wrote all this down and then said "Well as you know exams are coming up soon and you two will need two pieces to perform; one composed by yourselves the other from any musical you like... And it looks like you both like Les Mis, so shall we do A little fall of rain? Seeming as you both like it?" Eddie looked at me for approval and I nodded eagerly back, this sounded so much fun!

After a while of practicing scales and warm ups to get used to each others voices Mrs. Kelly said "Well I will leave you two to get on then... See you next music lesson!" And left. I was shocked. Weren't teachers meant to stay with you during a lesson, obviously not here! Eddie went over to the piano and started to play, he was an amazing pianist! "Shall we start on our composition then?" I said joining Eddie on the piano stall, he shuffled along to give me more room to play. We started by playing things in turn, eddie was much better than me!

After about 2 hours of practice we had come up with the introduction of our piece, we were both very proud of our work... But very tired! "Shall we come and practice whenever we can?" Eddie asked looking at me, "Sure, but I'm really stuck on this bit... Can you help me?" I said indicating the key change on our work "ahhh play it to me, then I can help you" eddie said. I started to play (very badly) and once I finished Eddie clapped, "why are you clapping? It was terrible!" I asked him confused "It wasn't terrible!! Your fingers just need to relax more, well really all of your body needs to relax, then you can feel the music more..." Eddie kept talking and I got lost in his voice, only now realising how relaxing it was to just listen. "See! Your relaxed! Now try playing it with me!" Eddie said, I looked at the piano and he counted down "3,2,1" then we started, he was right! My playing was about 100 times better better than before! When we finished I was so happy that it sounded nice! I jumped off the piano stool and grabbed Eddie's hand to follow me, I walked over to the mini stage in the corner of the room, jumped onto it and said "Oh Mr. Redmayne, you are so dashing! You have saved me and my terrible piano playing! What can I ever do to thank you?" In a fake American accent, grasping his hands and looking right into his face. He laughed and said "Well, to thank me I suppose you could do one thing..." I looked right at him "and what would that be?" I said still with the accent. "You could promise me that you will come to my room tonight for a big surprise and bring Amanda?" He asked hopefully, "Oh yes of course! I love surprises!!! What time?" I said walking towards the door "10pm" he said grabbing my bag and bringing it over to me "thank you mr. Redmayne" I said giving him a gentle kiss on the cheek "See you at 10 then!" I began to walk down the corridor when I heard him yelling "Won't I see you at Dinner?" I turned around and yelled back "No! Amanda and I have something planned, so we are skipping it tonight, bye" after saying this I ran back to my room, 10 minutes to dinner! Then Eddie wouldn't be around! I had to talk to Amanda privately, so that I was sure no-one unwanted would hear. As I unlocked our door I heard snoring from inside our room... 'Amanda Doesn't snore...' I said to myself... Who was snoring then?! I walked into the room but it was completely pitch black, the snoring was still going on coming from Amanda's bed, I opened the curtains and turned around AARON WAS IN AMANDA'S BED! I ran over to him and hit him hard to wake him up, he quickly opened his eyes and said "what- wha-what's going on?" And sat up, "I might ask you that very same question Aaron. Now where's Amanda?" I asked him "I think she is in the bathroom"he said whilst standing up "have a good day with Redmayne?" He asked me winking "Oh shut up Aaron, get out of here and anyway dinner starts in a few minutes!" I said opening the door for him and gesturing for him to leave "Wait... You and Amanda aren't coming?" He said standing outside the door. "Nope, ask Eddie and He'll explain. See you at 10!" Then I just shut the door in his face and went to the bathroom, I tried the door handle but it wouldn't work; it must be locked "AMANDA LET ME IN!!" I yelled banging on the door, "Ok, ok, why all the banging?" I heard her saying as she unlocked the door, she came out with her hair in rollers, I couldn't believe her!! "Why all the banging?" "WHY ALL THE BANGING?! MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE WHEN I CAME BACK IN HERE AARON WAS SLEEPING IN YOUR BED?!!" I yelled at her not really angry just confused, "oh he must if fallen asleep, I told him to wait while I did my hair" she said pointing to the rollers "hey, aren't we going to be late for dinner?" She said looking at her watch "We have no time for dinner! At 10 Eddie has invited both of us to his and Aaron's room for a surprise! And I need to talk to you! It's super important!" I said sitting down on my bed, Amanda noticed what I was feeling like and sat down next to me "ahhh, ok sounds great! Now, what's up? Eddie troubles?!" She asked me and I nodded in reply "... I think I like him... But I'm not sure if he likes me... I feel like I can be stupid around him and know that he won't judge me, I feel like he accepts me for who I am and that he would never change me... I feel safe when I'm around him because I know that he'll always protect me no matter what" I started to cry, I'm not sure why, probably because I was tired and confused, Did he like me in that way? Would he ever go out with me? Does be feel the same? "Ohhh Sammy, come here, cry on Amanda... I'm here, just let it all out honey... It's fine... I understand" Amanda said pulling me into to a big hug, I cried even harder now sobbing uncontrollably, Amanda saw that I was very tired and that this wasn't helping me in my current situation, she lay me down on my bed and took a blanket and covered me with it "Sam, you need some rest! Ill wake you before we need to go ok?" She asked hugging me again "ok... Tha-nk-s-a-man-da" I managed to say through sobs. But I can't remember anything else, I must of been very very tired!

I was having a lovely dream about Eddie and Me eating in the gardens of the university when I remember being brought out of my slumber by Amanda, I could hear her voice saying "Sam, wake up., we have to go to Eddies now" the last part really woke me up, I tried to sit up quickly but Amanda wouldn't let me, "Wait a second before moving, just relax first... Now tell me, are you alright or do you not want to go to see Eddie?" I answered back "no!! I really want to go!!" And before Amanda could stop me I got up and started to get dressed and put my makeup on. After about 5 minutes I was ready, still not feeling 100% well but I didn't want to miss this surprise! I looked at the clock and it said 9:59 "LETS GO!" I yelled and headed for the door Amanda following me, as she closed the door behind the both of us Amanda said "Sam, are you sure your ok? Because usually when I cry like that I get really bad headaches and get sick. Are you ok? If your not just tell me and we can go back, ok?" "Ok, I'm fine honestly!" I knocked on the door and it opened in seconds, Eddie was there and he immediately hugged me and lifted me up and brought me into his and Aaron's room, I screamed at him to put me down whilst playfully punching his arm, I looked around and saw that Aaron had done the Same to Amanda. Eddie eventually put me down in his bed and said "Well Hello! This is your surprise!" He said gesturing to the room, only now I realised what they had down to the room, it looked so 

Pretty! There were fairy lights everywhere and petals scattered around the floor, "Oh my Goodness! This is so pretty!! Thank you" I 

Stood up and kissed Eddie on the cheek "your not meant to kiss him yet! That's not on the plan that SOMEONE made! You have to wait until after we play a few games!!" As he said 'someone' he pointed at Eddie who yelled at him "Oi!! Shut up!" And threw a pillow at him knocking him onto Amanda who laughed her head off at Aaron's face, it was very funny; he looked so shocked! I could tell this would be a good night! Yet I still didn't feel very well, it will probably go! I told myself! But some thing inside me was telling me that I should be a bit more worried.
