Chapter 8

Eddie and I left the hospital arm-in-arm, he was supporting me the whole time. I felt so safe. I could tell he was nervous about taking me back... Obviously wondering if I would get ill again, I spotted a bench and went to go sit down "Eddie, I'm tired... Can we just sit here for a second?" I ask him sitting down onto the bench "of course we can! Take all the time you need Sam! There is no rush" He said sitting next to me and putting a protective arm around me. I missed being outside "Eddie..." I started to ask him hesitant of the answer "yes Sam?" He replied looking at me "if I feel up to it.... Can we go to the beach tonight? With Amanda and Aaron? I think it would be special" I said to him noticing how his eyes lit up at the sound of it "That sounds great! But only if your up to it!! I was going to suggest that as well... I thought it could be an... ummm... Date?" After he said that my heart went crazy!! My first date!!! "Does this mean we are an item then?" I ask him joking "yes, I was going to ask you that as well, but only if you want" he hastily said the last bit looking away from me,

I picked up his hand and gave it a squeeze, he looked back at me "Eddie. I would love to be your girlfriend" I told him kissing his cheek, he blushed and said "nothing could make me happier! Are you ready to go?" He started to get up, holding his hands out for me "I'm still tired!!" I said moaning, but before I could moan anymore Eddie picked me up, placed me on the bench (much to my protest!) "what are you doing Eddie?!?" I asked him laughing "just put your hands around my neck and I'll Carry you back to your room" he said turning away from me and crouching down so that I could jump on his back , "are you sure Eddie? I weigh a ton!!" I said nervously; not wanting to hurt him "oh stop it Sam and just get on my back!" He said laughing at me. I jumped on his back and he started to walk I was having so much fun! "Sam you barely weigh anything!!" He exclaimed "your as light as a feather!" He said spinning me around, "hahahah STOP IT EDDIE!!!" I shrieked, getting dizzy. He stopped after a while then started to run, "Oi slow down! You'll knock someone out!!" I said to him amidst all my giggled "We are almost here, so we might as well run!!" Eddie said running even faster, he was right; we were almost there! I could see the library and the main hall... Then I could see our boarding house.... And mine and Amanda's room! I had missed it so much! Eddie bent down and I slid of his back then grasped his hand "You'll love what's coming up!" Eddie said starting to walk towards the boarding house... I followed him eagerly; so excited to see my room again, to see Amanda and Aaron again! Eddie led me through the main door; I looked around and couldn't see anyone... Weird! There were usually lots of people around the main entrance because that's where the games room was, but alas there was no-one. I looked at Eddie confused, but he just smiled and led me upstairs, we turned the corridor which led to our rooms and 'SURPRISE' was shouted by the whole house!! They were all squashed in the corridor waiting for Eddie and myself, how sweet!! Before I could even open my mouth I was hit by Amanda who hugged me and hugged me and hugged me! When she finally let go I saw she had tears in her eyes "Sam!! I've missed you so much!! How are you??" She said taking my hands and squeezing them. I started to well up with tears, I realised how much I had missed Amanda; my best friend. "Oh Amanda I missed you!!! I feel so much better thanks to Eddie! He visited me and made me feel much better" as I said that the whole place went quiet until one person jumped in front of me and said "HE HASN'T STOP TALKING ABOUT YOU!! EVERY NIGHT HE HAS BEEN HUMMING THE SONG HE'S WRITTEN FOR YOU!!" It was Aaron! "Oh Aaron, leave Eddie alone!" I said shoving him "Oi! It's the truth!!" Was all Aaron said until he was hit by Eddie who was bright red with embarrassment "shut up Tveit! I swear you can't keep a secret!" Eddie hissed to him, Amanda and I both laughed at them both "thank you everyone for coming and surprising me!! I feel much better!" I said addressing the rest of the people "You guys can go now in other words" Amanda said indicating for them all to leave, they started leaving when I said "wait, thank you guys!" I called after them, I few people replied "s'alright" and they left. Leaving Eddie, Amanda, Aaron and myself standing there "Amanda, Eddie and I are going to the beach tonight, do you and Aaron want to come? As like a double date?" I asked Amanda who nodded eagerly "oohhh sounds fun!! How does that sound Aaron?" She asked him skipping over to him and holding his hand "I would love to Sam! Is it your first date with Eddie?" Aaron asked me, "yes, yes it is. So don't you dare ruin it you idiot" Eddie said before I could answer, I smiled at him, "Well 'manda and I are going into your room for a while... I think Eddie has something planned for you two to do in our room" Aaron said grinning at us both and winking at Eddie "YOU CANNOT KEEP A SECRET CAN YOU?" Eddie shouted at him, Amanda and I giggled again and they both went into our room (Amanda's)
