As soon as we arrived at the house, we filed out of the car - after I climbed over Gabe to be the first one out. (I may or may not have stepped on his foot. ;) ) Gabe, Kota, and Victor piled their arms with bags and I just watched with Luke, helping pickup whatever they dropped and placing it on the top. "Hey can someone open the door at least?" Gabriel asked. I turned to Luke. The race was on. As he ran for the front door, I ran quickly to the back door, since I knew Nathan left it unlocked from his run earlier. I flung it open and sprinted to the front door just as the knob turned and the door opened. He stepped in and laughed when he saw me. "Back door?" He guessed. I nodded. "Remind me to tell him to to start locking that." I nodded as the boys walked in with all the bags, letting them fall to the floor. "I'm going to start dinner!" I said, running to the kitchen. Luke followed me, eager. "So what are we making?" He asked. I smiled, turned, and put my hands on my hips. "You're not making anything." I said. He stared at me confused. "None of you are allowed to set foot in this kitchen. Understand?" I said, moving Luke to the living room. They all nodded, pouting. "Stop pouting. If I'm not allowed, neither are you." I said sternly, even though I wanted to giggle. Gabriel opened his mouth to protest but closed it up, picking some of the bags off the floor and heading to my room. The other boys started to do the same. "Thank you." I murmured. Kota caught it and smiled, heading off. I set off for the kitchen. I chopped up some vegetables and started my preparations for taco soup. As it simmered on the stove, I cut up some more vegetables for salad. In a split second decision, I turned to to the cupboard and pulled out a couple of glasses. 10, to be exact. Next I pulled out the blender. I rallied up some fruit, like blueberries, strawberries, and bananas. I gathered the rest of the ingredients, then sent out a text to each one of the guys.
Sang: blueberry, strawberry, or banana?
Gabriel: blueberry
Nathan: strawberry
Kota: blueberry
Dr. Green: banana
Victor: strawberry
Luke: banana
Silas: blueberry
North: blueberry? What are you making?
Mr. Blackbourne: strawberryI laughed at North's text but didn't reply to his question. I blended up their smoothies and made a strawberry one for myself. I heard cars pulling into the driveway. The tv was on in the living room. I heard "Hey where's Sang." and Gabriel say, "Making dinner but we're not allowed in the kitchen." Wait for it. After none of the boys came in the kitchen, I walked out to the living room. All of them were gathered there talking. "Hey guys!" I said. Kota and the other boys looked up. They all smiled, then looked at each other and back at me. "What?" I asked, knowing something was up. Kota stood up and took a step towards me. I took a step back. "What?" I asked again. He inched forward and I took another step back. "Kota?" I asked, seeing all the guy's mischievous smiles. Kota dove for me but I wasn't quite fast enough. He dragged me to the couch and the boys pinned me down. Luke came face to face with me. I giggled. I heard Dr. Green's immediate warning. Luke exhaled a breath on my face. "Why can't we go in the kitchen?" He asked, daring me not to talk. I sealed my lips and one of the boys hit my tickle spot. I laughed. "Tell me." He mock demanded. I shook my head and another one of the boys hit my tickle spot. "I'll never tell!" I said. Luke inched closer to my face. "Oh yeah?" He breathed. I nodded as he leaned over me and then BAM! He dragged his tongue across my nose, licking it. "Luke!" The boys let go of me and I rolled out from under Luke, falling on to the floor. Kota pinned me down before I could get up. I groaned. "Please tell me you aren't going to lick me too." I said. He shook his head. "I'm just supposed to hold you down while Luke and North sneak into the kitchen." He said. I gasped then hollered, "That's cheating! North and Lucian Taylor get out of the kitchen!" I struggled under Kota laughing. "Why do you guys have to be so darn strong?" I asked. The other guys laughed. "It's just who we are, Princess." Victor assured me. So now what? I know! "Well if I'm stuck here, you don't get my surprise." I huffed, hoping they would take the bait and let me go. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw them exchanging glances. So far, so good. "What surprise?" Kota asked, curious. I shook my head. "I can't tell you because then it wouldn't be a surprise. Besides, you can't have it if North and Luke go snooping around in the kitchen. You weren't allowed in the kitchen because 1, I had to make the surprise and 2, I just wanted to make something for you guys." I said. Kota smiled at me. "All right Mr. Taylor and Mr. Taylor. Come on back." Mr. Blackbourne said. Kota climbed off of me. I stood up and did a little victory dance. The guys laughed. Thank goodness I hid the smoothies. I kind of figured they would try to pull something. They always have a trick up their sleeves. I clapped my hands together. "Okay, who wants to help set the table?"
So I know it took a while to write this chapter but I had a good time writing it. I know it made me laugh, anyone else?
