Nico
Nico had always been grumpy during mornings. Today proved to be an exception.
Nico was disturbed in his sleep by the sound of a siren and what sounds like a trashy, perky..music.
He buried his face in his pillow and grunted.
"Gods dammit... Keep that down or I'm gonna bury you alive," he muttered.
His sleep-addled brain registered chuckling next to his bed.
"Come on Neeks. Let's do some dancing for once."
It was Jason. He grunted again. "My name is Nico, you blond-headed Superman. Get out of my personal space and give me my much needed sleep."
"Come on bro! The dance is about to start!" It sounded like Percy.
"Come on Nico," Jason tried again.
Nico shook his head.
"No.""Pretty please?"
Nico mentally winced as he said pretty.
"No," he said, more firmly this time.Jason sighed rather theatrically.
"Okay. That's it. I'm gonna call Will."Nico's body shot up the bed so fast it gave him a headache.
"Don't you dare."He blinked , adjusting his eyes on the brightly-lit room. Jason's mouth curved up, like he's trying not to laugh.
"If I had known this would happen, I would have called Will to fetch you in the first place," Jason muttered.
Nico's sure his blush was intensely visible.
"Damn you."Jason winked at him.
"I love you too. Now come on."Nico shrugged his newly acquired black shirt to cover his bare chest.
Darn Will and his odd way of checking for vitals.
He hadn't been to many hospitals before but he's pretty sure striping his shirt off wasn't part of the daily check-up.
He followed Jason out of the infirmary.
When he stepped into the light, he cursed himself.
Most of the demigods were on the volleyball court, standing on columns and were warming up. Not the usual sparring/rock climbing kind of warm-up, but the mortal ones. It reminded Nico of his time in Westover Hall.
"What is this?" Nico asked not too gently.
"We have zumba today," Jason replied.
"Zumba? Isn't that a country?"
"No, silly."
Lou Ellen waved over at Nico. He waved back. That encouraged the daughter of Hecate to approach them.
"Heeeey Nico," she greeted, her tongue dragging on the greeting, like she knew something he didn't.
"Hey, what's up?" Nico replied curtly.
"Not much. Just this zumba for today," she replied.
She turned to Jason. "It will be like the best unconventional zumba you have done."
Jason scratched the back of his neck.
"This is my first time actually, been too busy being pawn to the gods and all."Nico can't help but grin at that.
"Right."Lou Ellen shuffled on her boots, and averted her gaze off him. He seemed to scare her off.
Jason laughed and gave the daughter of Hecate a comforting tap.
"You'll get used to him. The kid has grown on me after a while."
