Nico

Nico knew nothing good happens when Hades wants a brief chat.

Akhlys stared at Nico with her bloodshot eyes. Her bloody tears staining her hollow cheeks.

Nico held his ground, locking his knees to keep his legs from shaking. He glared at her with conviction and barely hidden sorrow.

"Child of Hades, what more can I do to you? You are perfect! So much sorrow  and pain!"

Nico woke with a start. He was drenched in cold sweat, gasping for air.

A dream, he thought. Again.

When will it ever end?

Nico curled himself in a ball, his frail body painfully small on his king sized mattress.

A figure grunted next to him. He froze, his eyes trained on the sleeping  intruder. The intruder turned to face  Nico, her familiar long dark locks and regal features been illuminated by the ghostly lights.

Reyna.

Nico released the breath he was holding. Slowly getting out of bed, he pulled a shirt over his wounded body. The coarse fabric grazed on the whiplash. He winced.

Where was Will anyway?

He scanned his room. He wasn't around. A piece of paper has been folded under his sword, the paper peaking out on the edges. He walked over the table and lifted the sword. He read the letter.

Nico,

Hades demanded to have a brief chat with me. If I don't come back. I'm already dead.

Scared out of his wits yet handsome,

Will

Nico rolled his eyes. Surely, Hades won't kill him. Will he?

Nico raced out of his room and down the stairs. Ghosts glided by the halls, doing their chores.

He grabbed one at random. He was a middle aged man, with dark hair and dark eyes. It didn't matter by the moment.

"You..." Nico started.

The ghost cowered from his grip.

"Did you see my father?"
