Jason

Jason had seen horrors upon horrors...but something about Nico's outrage unnerved him.

He knew Nico was a formidable enemy. The stories about the infamous son of Hades, about how he came at Mount Olympus with an army of the undead saved the day. But it never prepared him to see what was coming.

Nico was all dark but not evil... was savage and just. That's the word.

"Jason?" Piper's voice shook him out of his thoughts.

"Council meeting in the Big House. Now."

Jason sprang up his feet.

"I'll be back," he said and kissed Piper in the forehead.

"I'll be there in a short while," Piper said as she tended Will Solace.

He went out of the infirmary and briskly walked to the Big House.

After the earth swallowed Nico and the Furies, Will was in a panic. He kicked Reyna out of the way. His hands buried on the closing cracks, screaming for Nico. Piper tried to calm him down but he was in hysterics. In her haste, she punched him right in the face. The son of Apollo crumpled to the ground and haven't woke up since then.
Jason exhaled before opening the door.

Most of the counselors were present.
Reyna, Hazel and Frank sat next to Chiron, where they seemed to be engaged in urgent conversation.

Percy looked troubled. Annabeth was fiddling with her drakon bone dagger with the I-am-thinking-of-something-look on her face.

Every one seemed shaken. Even Clarisse was silently wiping her dagger with a hanky.

"Will's still not awake," Jason said.

"That's great. We don't need another problem right now," Connor blurted.

Chiron cleared his throat.
"As what happened, the Furies infiltrated the camp."

His voice echoed sourly on the walls.

Jason took his seat. "The monsters can't possibly infiltrate the camp."

"I patrolled the borders. The barrier remains intact," Clarisse spoke.

"Then how did they came to camp?" Butch asked, head of Iris cabin.

"They can't. Unless someone gave them permission to," Annabeth said.

Jason remembered the chariot. It disappeared right after Nico was gone.

Oh gods. It can't be..

"Nico bargained to Hades," Jason mumbled his thoughts out loud.

"What do you mean? You know I love bargains," Travis said.

Jason told them about Nico asking for the chariot.

"What did he say?!" Annabeth asked him again. She couldn't believe it either.

Hazel met his eyes. She spoke.

"He said, 'In return... I'll give you a hand, whatever it is you want me to do."

Annabeth ran her fingers to her hair.

Percy grunted. "He just signed a death wish."

"That's pretty brave if you ask me," Clarisse commented.

"There is a fine line between bravery and madness," Clovis said, yawning. The counselor usually sleeps through council meetings. It was odd to see him awake.
