Chapter Thirteen: Something's will never change

How it going guys and i got you another chapter here yay lol

i hope you enjoy as much as i did writting it now you get to find out a little bit more about how Merlin was left alone on his own and how the beast seemed to only arrive just as Merlin woke up oh and you will see how Arthur reacts

 Kira’s POV

When Merlin had fallen a sleep they decided to rest there for a while. A couple hours passed with them all resting not saying much between them until that beast turned up. It stormed towards where they had decided to rest and Arthur and Gwaine where on there feet in seconds pulling out there swords and Kira did the only thing he thought was right pushing Jane behind him and being the gentlemen he had always been even for such a young age.

“We must lead the beast away from Merlin I don’t think we should wake him as of yet we can take this down without him” said Arthur.

Kira was not going to argue but he also knew Merlin would not be happy if Arthur died so he left Jane standing there and looked for something he could throw at the beast.

“Arthur do you think this is the beast only a few have encountered” asked Gwaine.

“Could be and Kira what are you doing” shouted Arthur.

It was too late for Arthur to stop him as he threw the closest thing to him which was a rock at the beast hitting one of its wings. Kira knew by doing that it would charge after him and turned on his heels running through the trees with it storming after him wondering how this was all going to pan out.

Gwaine POV

Kira was a brave for his age but also just as stupid as his friend Merlin doing that, he was likely to get hurt. Gwaine charged after the beast and Kira with Arthur following but at the time Gwaine did not notice Jane had followed too.

As Gwaine caught up he found Kira on the ground, he must have fallen over with the beast going at him. Gwaine stepped in front of Kira quickly not knowing why but he knew if Kira got hurt and Gwaine could have stopped it his friend Merlin would be angry.

Arthur was standing behind the beast trying to poke at it with his sword and that was when Jane came up behind Gwaine helping Kira to his feet before the beast jumped forward and forced Gwaine, Kira and Jane to back away and fall too the floor.

The beast turned from them now facing Arthur. Arthur went to stab it but it simply knocked Arthur aside and stormed back through the trees.

“Sire do you think it is going to leave us be just like that” asked Gwaine.

“I don’t think so…MERLIN” Arthur shouted and he sprinted off leaving Gwaine with Jane and Kira. Arthur maybe a princess at times but he sure wanted to protect Merlin just as much as he did.

Merlin’s POV

On the way back to Camelot Merlin felt like his heart had just been ripped into two by seeing Arthur his friends face like that, look at him like that made him want to roll up into a ball, cry and then just die.

Merlin had done so much for Arthur, protected him for along time and if Arthur reacted the wrong way or didn’t understand the future of Albion would be ruined and Merlin just hoped that he could find Arthur and talk to him about this before he told his father before he sent Merlin to be executed.
