Lancelot’s POV

When they had first set off to find Merlin they had no idea where they were going and in a matter of an hour the prince looked completely lost. This annoyed Lancelot because as usual the prince thought he knew everything when he clearly did not and this also made Lancelot think why Gwen liked him so much but he put that aside when Arthur came to a completely stop looking in all directions clearly trying to avoid speaking and telling them the truth that he had got them lost.

“Oh don’t tell me you are tired already princess or are you lost either way it don’t surprise me” said Gwaine speaking the exactly the same words Lancelot had been thinking.

“No I am not actually I just taking in my surroundings” protested Arthur.

“Not to sound rude but it’s straight ahead if you pay attention to it for five minutes that over there is a lit fire that has been put out they have been here recently” said Kira.

“Oh” was all Arthur managed to say

Lancelot had not spotted the fire that had only been used recently but that still made him think Arthur was a complete prat and he really agreed with his friend calling him that but rather Merlin then him. Lancelot couldn’t help but think about his friend Merlin had been the one to show him kindness above all others and he knew his secret before any one else here and in away it made him have a special pond with Merlin which Lancelot was pleased to have.

“We best keep moving then or less you need a rest” said Arthur glaring over at Gwaine.

“Of course not sire I am not like you” he said with a grin.

“And why is that” asked Arthur like he was trying to course an argument.

“Sire no offence but you have Merlin waiting you on hand and foot you are likley to get tired more quickly and me on the other hand I do everything myself” said Gwaine.

“Apart from training” pointed out Elyan.

“Alright so I may get Merlin to do that when I am training with Arthur but so does everyone else” said Gwaine defending himself.

Lancelot bent his head feeling slightly disappointed in himself because Gwaine was right all of them apart from Kira and Jake had at least once got Merlin to run after them and that made this whole situation feel a lot worse.
