(Sorry if no one likes the fight scene i got in here but it must be done the elderly man said there be friendships put to the test and the fight shows this)

Merlin’s POV
Merlin followed Arthur back towards his chamber to find Ross waiting for them.
“Didn’t I say I be seeing you real soon” smiled Ross.
“Have you already met then” asked Arthur looking weirdly at Merlin.
“At the stables he was actually looking for you and we just happened to meet” said Merlin.
“Oh right” said Arthur.
“I am taking Arthur has informed you that he will have to run everything through me from now on and I am like in charge of him as his father believes he needs someone to guide him” said Ross.
“He did....”Merlin paused.
“You can just call me Ross but King Uther did say that when it comes down to your relationship I should let it be” said Ross.
“What is that suppose to mean” asked Arthur.
“You’re father told me how close you are and you consider your servant a loyal and trustworthy friend” said Ross.
“Yeah I do” said Arthur looking away from Ross clearly not liking this conversation taking place.
“Well anyway enough of that I know you only just got back but you have a lot of preparing to do” said Ross.
“For what” asked Arthur.
“Oh yeah you don’t know yet for the quest that your father has suggested for you to do” said Ross.
“Which happens to be” said Arthur with a worried expression.
“It is nothing big why don’t you come with me into your room and we can discuss this” said Ross.
“Oh alright Merlin” began Arthur.
Merlin was standing up agent the wall with a weird expression clearly not listening.
“Merlin” said Arthur again.
“Oh sorry what did you say” said Merlin looking at Arthur.
