Part 5

Toga's P.O.V.

When I set (n/n) on the bed, she's already fallen back asleep. I stare at her sleeping form. A long while has passed since I saved her. I think to myself. I wonder if when she awakens, she will still have these dreams. Heh, I wonder if she'll even love herself if she knows what she really is.

I snap out of my thoughts when I hear (y/n) move around. "Daddy..."

I put my hand on her cheek. "What is it?"

She leans into my touch and says, "Can you snuggle with me? I keep getting flashes of 'that'."

I Sigh and think for a minute. Snuggle with my daughter, swallow my pride and hope and pray that Kaien doesn't walk in or not and tell her to suck it up. I take my shoes off along with my coat and move her to the side and crawl in the bed with her. I feel her slender arms wrap around my firm build. I try to maneuver with her position because I was dumb and didn't get under the blanket.

"Hey Toga," (y/n) asks, using my real name this time. "Do you think these dreams will ever go away?"

I kiss her forehead, giving her extra affection, and say, "Maybe over time."

I hear her giggle. "You said that the last time I asked."

"Well if you knew that I might say that, why did you ask me the question?" I look into her (e/c) eyes that she inherited from her true father.

"Dunno. Thought that maybe that you would have a different answer..." She presses her head into my chest.

I smile at her answer. "Get some rest. You have classes in the morning."

She replies my groaning.

(Y/n) P.O.V.

When I wake up into morning, I don't see a Level E looking down on me. I sigh in relief. How much longer is that memory going to be plaguing my dreams? That happened 12 years ago... I roll over and look at the alarm clock. 7:12

"Glad to see that you're awake."

I sit up at the sound of my father walking into the room. "When did you wake up?"

"I didn't really fall asleep last night." He says as he sips his coffee.

"Why not?"

"I was up thinking about some things." Yagari replies.

"What were you thinking about?" I stretch and get out of the bed. I look around the room and stand up to walk into the bathroom.

"Just things." He replies blantly.

I roll my eyes, not fully convinced. "Sure."

"Truth."

That earns another eye roll from me. "Sorry about last night. I acted a little... clingy." I walk out of the bathroom, almost tripping on my own feet. When I regain my balance, Toga is in front of me.

The next thing he does surprises me because he pulls me into a warm embrace. "It's fine. Really. If anything, I should always do that whenever you have that dream."

I wrap my arms around him, struggling to have my arms touch each other due to the fact that Toga was very buff. "You don't always have to do that, but I appreciate that you feel the need to do so."

Yagari bends down(Quite a bit because you know... I'm short as hell!), and plants a big kiss on the top of my head. "I love you..."

"Now now, Toga, don't start going soft on me..." I feel him swat my back.

"Damnit," He grunts. "You always ruin the mood. Just say it please so I don't feel like a fool for saying it to you."

"Fine. I love me too."

"Goddamnit (y/n)!"
