Team 7 were waiting on the bridge, order from Kakashi who was late once again.
Sakura let out a deep sigh before she screamed. "Why, why, why? It's always the same! He sets the time and then we have to wait hours for him."
"It's not fair!" Naruto agreed with her, raising his arm up in a rebellious manner.
"Can't disagree with that. He is sure testing our patience everyday." M/n rolled his eyes and crossed his arms over his chest.
"What about my feelings? I rushed here so fast, I didn't even have time to blow-dry my hair!" Sakura yelled, her hair being a piece of evidence. Naruto thought this was now a good time to be painfully honest.
"And I didn't even have enough time to brush my teeth or change my underwear!"
"Uhm, ew." M/n scooted away from him, looking at him like he was some virus.
"You didn't? That's really disgusting, Naruto." Sakura deadpanned, full on judging the boy.
Suddenly, Kakashi appeared on top of the bridge entrance, greeting his students. "Hey. Good morning, everyone. Sorry I'm late. Afraid I got lost on the path of life."
"You liar!" M/n, Naruto, and Sakura angrily yelled, pointing at him.
Kakashi jumped off of the pillar and landed in front of the team. "I know this is a bit sudden, but I recommended you for the Chunnin exams- all four of you." He took out four slips of paper and presented it to them. "These are the application forms."
"Application forms?" Sakura said in a dumbfounded tone.
"You're repeating me, Sakura. This is all voluntary. It's up to each of you. If you don't feel ready, you can wait until next year."
"Next year is too long. Give me that form." M/grabbed one of the forms and scanned it with a grin. "Finally, something exciting is happening."
"All right! Kakashi-sensei, you rock!" Naruto jumped on Kakashi and wrapped his arms around the Jounin's neck.
"Don't slobber on my vest!" Kakashi set Naruto down back on the ground. "Whoever wants to take the exams, sign the application and come to room 301 at the Academy. It's a 3:00 PM five days from now. That's it."
Naruto laughed which caused M/n to laugh along with him. "Chunin exams. Chunin exams!" They both chanted as they locked arms and skipped around in a circle.
"They share one brain cell." Sakura sighed, setting her hand on her forehead.
Kakashi poofed away after wrapping up what he had to say, leaving the four Genin to themselves. They walked away from the bridge.
"Hm. Chunin exams. I'll be up against a lot of really wicked ninja!" Naruto began to giggle out of nowhere.
'I wonder if that red-headed boy will be there. I hope I can see him in action.' M/n thought as he slipped his hands inside his pockets and looked at the blue, empty sky.
