"I don't know how to feel.. I've never felt a mother's love."
"I see something in you that I've never seen in anyone. Great power."

Everyone stared at Ibiki, surprised by his sudden presence.
"First, you candidates from the Village Hidden in the Sound, knock it off. Who told you you could fight? You want to be failed before we've even begun?" Ibiki pointed at the ninja, his voice booming around the walls of the classroom.
"Sorry. It's our first time. Guess we're a little jumpy, sir." Dosu, the bandaged up man, said with a raspy voice.
Ibiki scoffed with a smirk. "I'll say this once, so listen up. There will be no combat between candidates. No attacking each other without the permission of your proctor. And even then, the use of fatal force is strictly prohibited. Anyone who even thinks of messing with me will be disqualified immediately. Got it?"
The pointy-haired Sound ninja grinned and turned his head to look over at Ibiki. "No fatal force? That's no fun."
"Now, if we're ready, we'll proceed to the first stage of the Chunin exam. Hand over your paperwork. In return, you'll each be given a number. This number determines where you will sit. We'll start with the written test once you're all seated."
"The what? Did he say written?" Naruto asked in a terrified manner, his eyes widening when one of the ninja behind Ibiki waved the stack of papers in his hands with a smile. "No! Not a written test! No way!"
"I feel your pain, Naruto." M/n sulked, standing next to the blonde haired boy who was still in his moment.
Every one of the ten rookies were seated down in their respective seats, Team 7 were spread out away from each other.
M/n sat next to some random Leaf ninja with glasses. He tapped his fingers against the wooden table, waiting for the test to commence.
His body suddenly tensed up, shoulders slightly hunched as if he was bracing for something. Slowly, he turns his head, meeting eyes with Yua who sat behind him.
Yua had his chin set on his palm, his gaze is steady— too steady— like he was studying M/n, dissecting him without a word. There was something in his eyes that M/n could not pin-point, something sinister and hollow that wanted to ravage him.
Without a word, M/n turned back around, his eyebrows furrows as sweat dripped down his cheek. 'What the hell is up with him? And with me, why am I acting like this?
"Everyone, eyes front." Ibiki's voice cut through the uncomfortable atmosphere, getting their attention. He tapped on the blackboard with a piece of chalk he had in his hand. "There are a few rules you need to be aware of. And I won't answer any questions. So you better pay attention the first time around."
He turned and began to swipe the chalk on the board. "All right. Rule number one is this. The written part of the exam is conducted on a point reduction system. Contrary to what some of you may be used to, you'll all begin the test with a perfect score of 10 points. One point will be deducted for each answer you get wrong. So if you miss three, your final score will be seven."
