chapter 24

Katniss pov (the next day)

I wake up in peeta's arms, as always. Pheww. It was all just a big nightmare. I escape out of his arms and stand up.

Today is my first day of school. I'm happy that i may go tot school again, but also afraid.

I hop into the shower and start to think. Everyone will look at me like; 'oh look she survived!' and 'eww look at her, poor peeta'. I wash my hair and stand in the shower for a while. The warm water calms me down. 'It won't be too bad' i say to myself 'and if someone just says something about me i'll ignore it.' i start to sing a part of my song,

how could we not ignore our feelings when they are way too strong?

since they day we've met i already Fell in love

and now i am so glad that you are mine.

I sing Some other songs and after a couple of minutes i hop out of the shower. I take two towels out of the little cabinet and put one around my hair like a turban.

I take the other towel and dry myself.

I Put on my Panties and bra and walk out of the bathroom, back too my room. I open the door and Find my boyfriend sleeping. He looks so cute. When he sleeps he looks so peaceful and he pouts his lips a little bit. It makes him look like a little boy.
I smile to myself and walk further to my walk-in closet.

What should I wear today? Maybe a dress or a shirt with skinny jeans? I decide to take a pink crop top with a high waisted jeans. Pink is not really my colour but this kind of pink is nice. It's an pastel colour and it looks a bit purple.
I turn around to walk back to my room and then I see the white roses.

My breath starts to get heavy. 'Oh no, it wasn't a nightmare! This is pure horror! I can't handle this!!' I breath in and out but I'm still breathing really fast. Okay I'm hyperventilating.

"Peeta! Peeta!" I say as loud as I can. .... No reaction....

I breath faster and faster. 'This is not real!' I say to myself. I see little black dots and everything is moving around me. "PEETA!" I scream again. .... No reaction....

I can't stand anymore. My body is too heavy for my legs and I fall into the ground with a loud 'bang'.

I lay on the floor and I hear some footsteps coming to my direction. Maybe it is running... And it sounds like that their more people walking to me. I am too dizzy to hear it well so I don't move and keep breathing heavily.

My eyes are still open, only for a little bit, but enough to see 2 people watching at me.

I look at their eyes. One has green and one blue.... The one with the green eyes is little and small, the one with the blue is tall and has a lot of muscles.

They kneel down beside me. "Go get finnick!" A woman voice says. I in the green eyes and see that it is a woman. She seems familiar but I can't say that I know who she is.

The one with the blue eyes runs away and the women follows it with her eyes. I only can focus on her. I recognise her... I close my eyes to think but the woman doesn't want me to do that.

"Katniss, stay awake! We're gonna help you! Peeta is going to get finnick." She says.

"Who are Peeta and finnick? And who are you?" I ask the woman. At that moment two men come inside. "Where is she?!?" The new man asks.

The women signs that they have to be quiet and answers me. "I'm Annie your best friend, finnick is your best friend brother and Peeta is your boyfriend." I look at the guys. My eyes start to get heavy because I'm still breathing fast but slower than before.

"Finnick please make her stop hyperventilate!" Says The man with the blue eyes. The other man comes over to me and my breaths are getting faster.

The man takes a little bag out of his pocket and put the outsides over my nose and mouth. 'He's gonna kill me! He's gonna kill me!' I panick. I start to wrestle but he is too strong. I give up and breath in and out trough the little bag.

After a couple of minutes I calmed down completely and sit straight. Almost everything is clear again, I'm just a little bit light in my head.

I try to stand up but Peeta and finnick push me back. "Your not gonna stand up." Peeta says while he lifts me up. "Com on Peeta, I'm not a baby! I can walk by myself." I say. "I know but I don't want you to fall again." He says. Finnick and Annie nod. "It's the best for you Kat." Annie argues.

Peeta puts me on the bed and I lay down. I think about how stupid I was acting and I know that I should apologise.

"Guys I'm sorry about what just happened. I was just in shock with the flowers en shit and I thought that it was all a nightmare. So sorry for waking you guys up." I say looking at the ground.

"Flowers?" Finnick and Annie ask in chorus. I look at Peeta and he looks at me with a sad glance in his eyes. I can't tell them the story, Peeta has to do it and he knows that. "Please Peeta?" I ask with tears forming in my eyes. He nods and tells them the whole story with all the details.

When he is finally done everybody is shocked and I'm crying into peeta's shoulder. Annie walks up to me and gives me a big hug while she's rubbing my back.

Finnick embraces us both in a hug and then Peeta too and we share one big group hug. And there we sit on the bed, all crying our eyes out.

We let go and finnick and Annie leave Peeta and me alone to talk about what happened.

They close the door and the first thing I do is give Peeta a hug. I'm shaking and sniffing while he is whispering in my ear that it'll be alright.

I let him go because I smell burned pancakes. And at that moment finnick screams that breakfast is ready.

I give Peeta a long sweet kiss and hold him thought. "I love you" he whispers between our kiss. "I love you more" I whisper back. He breaks apart and smiles. "Impossible." He says and takes my hand and brings me downstairs.

Omg I'm so sorry guys that I didn't post for 3 F****** MONTHS! and because I am so sorry I made the deal with myself too write one each week and I'll update all my books this week.
And if you didn't notice this chapter was longer because I felt guilty😅.
