I ran swiftly back to my pack making it there in time to see someone approaching them; his back turned to me. I roared and the uninvited visitor stopped fifteen feet further from me. Gradually, he lifted both his arms up, turning to face me.

My pack snarled at him; some shifted by this unexpected guest while others watched ready to attack if necessary. When he was fully turned facing me his eyes caught mines before shifting over to Elena's.

"Christian..." Elena's voice seemed shaken as if baffled by his presence. She knew him clearly by saying this man's name and a look I once held when I saw my pack for the first time in years.

He wore dark blue denim jeans with a white v-neck shirt and black leather jacket. His dark caramel skin was clear from any signs of blemish or scarring accept the one scar crossing over his left eyebrow above his eye. His head was thoroughly shaven. The only hair I could see on him was the small patch of hair just below his lower lip and above his chin.

I didn't want to seem to obvious sniffing in his aroma so I repositioned myself facing Elena as she walked passed me towards him. His aroma was the same as Elena's and Rosalie. It was clear that he was a vampire.

"What are you doing here?" Elena asked cautiously.

I was still trying to figure out if he was an enemy of hers but it was hard to tell with how much of her appearance was unreadable to me.

"I needed to see for myself...close up," this stranger stated.

I noticed Kaylee peeking her head through the front door. "Get inside." Kaylee hid back inside the house as others of our back went back inside as well.

Nina came stepping outside with a face of concern. I turned to Bran and he knew what I wanted by my gaze alone.

"Everyone...go inside," Bran called out for everyone.

Nina argued and I notice her look at me puzzled to why I was dismissing her inside but I ignored her gaze keeping my eyes on this man. I didn't want any of my wolves out here to get caught in the grip of this vampire if he was a threat. The house was the safest place to be.

The man's eyes watched observant of me as I ordered Rachel inside too.

None of my pack members approved of this but I was to be placed as their Alpha officially soon enough and they would follow order.

His continuous stare began to make me uncomfortable. I sniffed his scent again not caring this time that he noticed. My scrutinizing of him made him stand more erect feeling uncomfortable like I was just a moment ago. His eyes flickered a sapphire; a speck of red within the small of his pupils. Something seemed familiar about him. "I've seen you." I hadn't none I said that aloud.

Elena arched her brow to me and then the vampire she called Christian.

"You were hidden in trees...days ago when I was with a bunch of wolves." His eyes never moved yet somehow I knew I was right.

"Is that the only time you remember seeing me?" He asked not trying to antagonize me.

I furrowed my brow.

"I don't have time for this shit...and I didn't approve of you being in my territory."

Elena came out of her daze over seeing this vampire taking the momentary silence out of the ambiance. "He's a friend," she clarified.

My eyes swerved to hers, angry rising in me. I exposed my wolfish canines snarling with as much control as I could bare. "But not mines."

He held his hand out. "I'm Christian."
