Mckayla
~"Mckayla..." I turned to Nina as she temporarily paused her next words. "Why are we here?"
I faced back to the house I had been ignoring since I'd come back. I only been inside once. My posture straighten as I sighed. "You said...my father was going to find me and beg me to come back." I wasn't asking her a question only restating her words out loud.
Nina squeezed tighter on my hand answering me anyway. "He said...he had to make things right first. I didn't know what he meant at the time."
"Kaylee..."
"Yes...I would say so."
My daughter was kept a secret from me. I hadn't understood why he would do that to me and it wasn't like I could go and ask him or my grandmother.
"Mckayla..."
"I don't want to talk about what happened back home." I was not completely angry because Jerome tried to touch or even flirt with Nina. I was angry that I gave him the room and opportunity to think he could. There was a time any Were would look at me and know if they tried the slightest thing they could loose their life. When I mentioned the name I went by as 'Kayla', that was enough to snap his mind into the reaction I wanted. I earned that name doing what I did best. My eyes burned but I knew I was to stubborn to cry. My voice was coaxed with agony and vexation in the fear of losing that part of me I was proud to build. Without speaking, I walked us up the steps, opening the door.
Nina stepped in behind me and I turned slamming the door as I turned to her.
Nina looked at me confused. "You want to check the place out...?"
"No..."
"Then...why are we here?"
"Privacy..." I stepped closer to Nina swallowing up the distance between us as I crashed my lips to Nina. I slammed her body into the door as I pressed my body against her. I wrapped my arms tightly around Nina as she ran her hands through my hair.
I moaned my hot breath into her mouth as I tugged on Nina's bottom lip. Nina kissed me back just as lustful, her lips trailing down my jaw and neck. I felt her tongue lick where my pulse was and as I was about to pull her shirt up, as Nina growled.
I stopped further movement as Nina shoved me back. I stared at her in bewilderment. I barely took a step further when she slapped me across my face, forcing a snarl out of me.
"Are you freaking serious right now?"
I looked at her ignorantly very close to my wolf surfacing if she hit me again. "What is yo--"
"Don't treat me like I'm stupid." Nina pointed at me as she spoke loudly. "I can smell her on you."
I had every receptor in my brain malfunction as I knew who she was talking about. "She-she came to me. That's it," I staggered out.
"Ugh...damn it Mckayla. I'm going home..." Nina said. I saw the tears before she turned away. "Don't bother coming."
"Nina...it's not what you think." I argued.
"I don't care." Nina opened the door. "You're a fucking hypocrite. You nearly beat Jerome down and you were off messing around with her."
"I didn't do anything with her..." I groaned. "I've never lied to you. Why would I now?"
Nina didn't respond. All I got was the door slammed in my face. I snarled turning to a coffee table, using it as my punching bag, slamming my hand through a flower vase. I watched in slow motion as the vase shattered on the floor.
