IF ONE THING WAS FOR certain about the Butterfly family, it was their extensive history and significance. As far as they knew, the Butterfly family went back for centuries, each queen ruling for a life time as a beloved figure.

Soleil's favorite had always been Celena the Shy, their great-great grandmother. She had quite the knack for writing, Soleil loved to go back through her chapter just to read them over and imagine what life must have been like for her grandmother.

Star on the other hand absolutely idolized Solaria the Monster Carver. Her image was much more... aggressive than Celena's, though she probably did more for the kingdom than any other queen had.

Solaria was responsible for starting the Solarian Warriors, Mewni's greats soldiers and biggest protectors. They were mentored by the queen herself and though Star had never really seen one, she swore her only goal in life was to one day be a Solarian Warrior.

"Perhaps the most notable Warrior, Mina Loveberry served diligently and entirely to queen Solaria and her Solarian Army. Though not much is known about her whereabouts after the Army disbanded, she is commended in her work of clearing monsters and keeping Mewni a safe haven," Soleil read aloud from the spell book perched in her lap.

The three teenagers sat scattered in Star's room as Glossiryk floated above their heads. Today was their weekly history session, each sister taking turns reading from the book. This had by far been the longest chapter, but no one complained as Soleil rambled on. It was actually quite interesting.

"Solaria is so cool! Man I wish I could be her, or Mina! On the battle front, taking down monsters. There's no better way to live life," Star sighed, falling back onto her pillows.

"She's always been a little intense for me," Soleil countered, shutting the large leather-bound book and pushing it to the end of the window seat. "I wonder what happened to Mina though."

"She probably died in battle," Star sat up suddenly. "That's the coolest way to go for a Warrior."

"If she died in battle I'm sure people would know about it Star," Marco said from his bean bag on the floor. "My bet is she couldn't take the pressure and ran off to live in the woods. Less embarrassing than stepping down."

Soleil giggled at the idea. A Solarian Warrior stepping down from their position was unheard of. Marco blushed, feeling a little silly now.

"I mean, maybe she did. You know, run away," the princess said quickly, trying to spare her new friend's feelings. "But dying on the battle field? I think that might be every Solarian Warriors dream."

"Well!" Glossiryk shouted from above, swimming around in an invisible sea. "I think that's enough history for today. Go do something, enjoy your lives, play outside! You're just kids."

"You were the one that kept us in here," Marco pointed out, looking fiercely at the little blue creature.

"Not anymore! What are you still doing here?" Glossiryk fired back.

"Good point," Soleil breathed, standing from her criss crossed position on the window seat. "I am famished."

"We should go to Britta's!" Marco cheered, already rising from his bean back and stretching the history lesson out of his legs.
