Maraiah's POV

I waited for Mikha in the car while she was assisting Ashley to her house. She's been inside for almost half an hour. I'm starting to think that maybe Ashley asked her to stay, or that she has fallen asleep by her side and has forgotten she left me here to wait, until I saw Mikha exited the gate while saying something to the guard before she gets in the car.

“Sorry for making you wait, ate Aiah.” She said, giving me an apologetic look.

I smile. “It's fine, Mikhs.”

Mikha turned the engine on and maneuvered off the place.

“How was she?” I ask, pertaining to Ashley.

“She passed out. Sobrang lasing.” Aniya.

“Does that always happen?”

Mikha took a quick glance at me. “Alin, ate Aiah?”

“Yong ganon. Pagiging one call away mo pag nalalasing siya.”

“I've only seen her that drunk once before when I dated her. And yes, I was the one who took care of her that time. But after I cut her off, I haven't heard from her since, kahit sa friends niya. So, I didn't anticipate when Dani called.”

I hummed.

“Don't tell this to Gwen, ate Aiah. She'll only think and say I'm marupok daw.”

I laugh and decided to tease her. “Bakit, hindi ba totoo?”

Mikha scoffs and narrowed her eyes on me. “Hindi no.”

“Eh anong tawag mo don sa ginawa mo?”

“I had no choice. I did it for Dani. I sort of owe her, now we're even.”

I wiggled my brows.

Mikha chuckled. Hirap naman asarin nito, hindi pikon. “I won't, ate Aiah. You have my words.” She said with conviction.

I shrugged. “If you say so.”

“And correction...she's not my Ashley, 'cause she's not mine.”

Hindi pikon, pero ayaw magpatalo. Way to go Mikha Lim. You just given me more chances to tease you.

“But you wanted her to be yours.” I smirk.

Mikha squinted her eyes, grasping her fortune of unfortunately being teased at. “Trip mo 'ko, ate Aiah ha.”

I grinned. “Uy, 'di niya tinanggi.”

Mikha just shook her head. She looks just as amused like I am right now. “Before, ate Aiah. That was before.”

“Hindi na ngayon?”

“Hindi na.”

“Sure?”

“Sure.”

I hummed again. “If you say so.” I repeated.

Tumawa lang si Mikha. The car stopped and Mikha unbuckled her seatbelt. “What should I do para maniwala ka?” Mikha asks in her deep voice, face leaning dangerously closer to mine.

I swallowed real hard, holding my breath. Her eyes drops to my lips, and for a moment I thought she would kiss me for heaven's grace. I didn't blink my eye, not wanting to miss a thing, caught up in anticipation, but Mikha just smirks and grins like a fucking angel in disguise, that I almost forget I'd burn myself if she likes to play with fire.
