Today's the day.
Little Pattycakes' birthday.
It is ten in the morning, and everyone is in on the surprise, but him, obviously. We still have yet to figure out what his distraction will be without making him too suspicious.
"We could act like someone is in danger away from where were having the party?" Hailey suggests. I furrow my brows and press my lips together in concentration.
"No, that might shake him up too much, and will put him in a bad mood. We don't want that. Something that'll have him pumped up, or at least keep him level headed," I say, thinking out loud. Hailey nods, furrowing her own brows, thoughtful.
Andy turns to me, trying to tell me something with his eyes. I raise my eyebrows. His lips move, as if he's trying to tell me that way. Does he not remember that time I was trying to figure out what Patrick was mouthing when he was on vocal rest? I can't read lips worth a shit.
I shake my head. He rolls his eyes and tries again. Still nothing. I shrug and he groans, grabbing his phone and violently typing out something. He hands it to me and I look at the screen.
"What I was trying to say was, will Hailey be okay with this stripper? Won't she be jealous or bothered by it?"
I click enter a few times and type in my response.
"She'll be okay with it. I hope."
I hand it back to him.

*Patrick's POV*
I wake up, and as usual, hit my head against the ceiling.
"Shit," I mutter angrily, rubbing my head.
"So the kraken has awakened," I hear Pete retort in the bunk below me. I lean over the rail of my bunk to see the upper half of his body sprawled on the floor, his legs propped on the mattress of his bunk. When he sees my disheveled form pop into his line of vision, he flashes his million dollar smile at me, and I just flip him off.
I hop out of my bunk, narrowly missing Pete's head on the way down. Oops.
"Uh, I'm right here," he whines.
"Yeah, yeah, I wouldn't miss you from that big trap of yours."
"I have my uses for this "big trap" of mine," he cheekily says, winking at me.
I roll my eyes, walking out to the kitchen area, unplugging my phone from the charger and checking to see if I have any notifications. The date says April 27th. My birthday. Right.
I halfway slam my phone down on the counter. If I dislike any days with a great passion, its my birthday. I never wanted to live past 23, but here I am, 23 years old today, alive and breathing. I have no one to thank for that but the guys for always being there for me.
That lifts my spirits a bit, and I wander into the living area of the bus to look for everyone else.
Sure enough, everyone is piled on the small couch, watching Big Hero 6, with the song made by us in it. Its at that part, actually, and as Immortals floods through the speaker of the TV, Joe head bangs and turns the volume way up.
