4 years later.

"Come here, Alison," I heard Gracie call out, her voice filled with warmth.

"I'm coming, Momma!" the little girl chirped, her tiny feet pattering across the floor as she wobbled toward her mother.

Gracie scooped her up with a smile, placing her gently on the bed. "Let's get my little princess all dressed up," she said, slipping Alison into the most adorable dress. With careful hands, she picked up a tiny bow and tied it into Alison's soft curls.

"There! My beautiful princess," Gracie cooed, pressing a sweet kiss to her forehead.

Alison giggled, spinning around before toddling over to me, her arms stretched out. I caught her in a hug as she squealed happily.

"You look absolutely precious, munchkin," I said, booping her nose.

She blinked up at me with wide, curious eyes. "Are we going to see Tay-Tay?" she asked, bouncing on her toes. Taylor preferred "Tay-Tay"-she said "Grandma" made her sound too old.

I chuckled. "Not today, sweetheart. We're watching your Momma perform!" I grinned before playfully tickling her belly.

Alison erupted into giggles, kicking her little legs as she tried to escape. "Nooo!" she squealed between laughs.

Today was her fourth birthday, and we had a big surprise in store-Taylor was coming after all, and Alison had no idea.

----

Alison and I stood backstage, eyes glued to Gracie as she performed under the bright stage lights. The energy was electric, and we both bounced excitedly to the rhythm of her songs, our voices mixing with the crowd's cheers.

Alison knew every song by heart-both Gracie's and Taylor's. She listened to them nonstop, humming their melodies even in her sleep.

Then, it was time for Gracie to sing Us. Alison squealed, bouncing up and down like an excited little bunny as she screamed the lyrics at the top of her lungs.

"DO YOU MISS US?" we shouted together, our voices filled with excitement.

But before Gracie could respond, a familiar voice echoed through the arena.

"And if history's clear, the flames always end up in ashes..."

I grinned, already knowing what was coming. I glanced down at Alison just in time to see her big eyes grow bigger.

"TAY-TAY!" she shrieked, her little hands flying to her cheeks in pure delight. And before I could grab her, she took off, sprinting onto the stage as fast as her tiny legs could carry her.

Gasps and laughter filled the arena as the little girl crashed straight into Taylor's leg, wrapping herself around it like the most adorable koala. Taylor wobbled, nearly losing her balance, before bursting into laughter.

"Well, hello there, sunshine!" Taylor giggled, crouching down and scooping Alison into her arms. "I think I just got tackled by the cutest fan ever!"

Alison giggled wildly, hugging Taylor's neck as if she'd never let go. "I missed you, Tay-Tay!" she squeaked, her tiny fingers clutching onto Taylor's sparkly outfit.

Gracie, still holding her mic, chuckled. "Looks like we have two special guests today!"

The crowd erupted into cheers as Taylor kissed Alison's forehead. "Happy birthday, princess," she whispered, rocking the little girl in her arms.
