Okay, apparently I've been getting Icky Licky and Simon Smoke mixed up, so, here's Simon's actual thing.

Your Introduction

If someone were to ask you to describe Y/N in one word, it would be 'nice' or 'annoying' depending on who you ask. But, the thing is, you HATE being nice. You see, what people would call a people Pleaser is what YOU are.

You wished you could be honest, but your fear of being alone (figuratively, anyway) drives you up the wall. It's not like you hate being nice. But being a people Pleaser is a WHOLE new level.

It's not like you let people make fun of you, but if someone treats you with kindness, you're more likely to attach yourself to their leg..

But you wish you could get your thoughts out without sounding rude...

Meeting

You were eating breakfast with your friend, you know, the Silent Observer. You guys were watching Icky challenge this other poor kid.

Some other orphan ran up to you all of a sudden.

"Hey, you!" They said, not even acknowledging your name.

"Uh, yeah?-"

"My ball fell over the hoop, and I don't know how to climb, so do it for me!" They said.

Wow. Couldn't they have at least asked if you could first? Besides, you were starving and you weren't the best climber.

But that didn't matter, because they knew you wouldn't be able to say no...

You sighed, and were about to get up and get it, but apparently, a certain red dragon beat you to it.

"Simon!" The kid shrieked.

"Take your ball, kid. And next time, would it kill you to be a little nicer?"

That surprised not only the other kid, but also you and Silent Observer, for a multitude of reasons.

One being because the Nightmare Critters, well.. They were supposed to be rude, they hated any gesture of kindness, regardless of whether it's from them. The nicest you could get was Maggie.. And Simon was probably the rudest.

Second, because no one had ever stood up for you. Your entire life was one big favor or debt, and everyone seemed to guilt trip you.

First thoughts/their perspective

Honestly, Simon used to hate people pleasers. After all, why would you revolve your whole world around pleasing others instead of of yourself?

But, for some reason, there was this one kid that was just what he hated, and, instead of hate.. Was it pity? Maybe. Whatever the case, he hated the idea of people pushing you around more than you letting them.

He complained to Baba about it first. Mostly because the other Nightmare Critters either didn't care enough to listen (and Baba probably didn't either) or weren't competent enough to help.

"Well, if them having people pleasing problems bothers you why don't you try to help fix that?"

.
..
...

Huh.

"Helping?"
