Gregory, the ventriloquist I had seen perform last week, had talked to me after his show and we had even exchanged numbers. But, I never gave him my address. So, tell me why a dummy that resembles me was sitting on my porch. Yes, me, Marissa. There was no note attached to it, but I already knew it was from Gregory. Who else would it have been from? I hadn't asked him to make one for me, yet he did, and he somehow found out where I lived.
I decided not to tell my boyfriend about it and I placed the dummy in a box before shoving it in my closet with my shoes.

A week had passed. And it happened again. No, not other dummy of me, but of him. It looked just like Gregory. I almost didn't want to pick it up. But I did, and I put it in the box with the other one he made me, before shoving it back in the closet, and not saying a word to my boyfriend.

I came home today and I discovered the body of my boyfriend sprawled out on the kitchen floor, lifeless. I fell to my knees next to him and felt for a pulse, but there was none. He was dead. Even before I could start to sob, I saw something in the corner of my eye. A dummy. It sat next to him. It looked like him. And it held a paper, with a heart drawn on it in blood. His blood. The heart had the initials "M + G" written on it.
