I watched as Keefe's face scrunched up in attempt to keep from crying. Aside from the wet eyes, though, was a radiant smile.
The music began suddenly, jarring me out of my thoughts. I grinned and started towards the man I was about to marry.
The walk to Keefe was both the shortest and longest walk of my life. And yet, it didn't matter because at the end was him.
"You're so beautiful," he whispered as I stopped in front of him, his eyes sparkling.
"You look okay, I guess."
Keefe barked out a quiet laugh.
"You look extremely handsome," I added, taking his hands in mine and squeezing them.
I could tell Keefe was trying to resist leaning down to kiss me. I jokingly scolded him with my eyes, and his smile somehow got even bigger. Not yet, but almost.
"Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today..."
