"Keefe, stop! Oh my gosh, stop it right now!" I shrieked.
"What's the magic word?" Keefe smirked from above me.
"Please-" I managed to get out. "Please, my handsome, perfect, amazing boyfriend-" I stopped again, trying to get more air in my lungs. "Please stop tickling me!"
"Well, since you said please and called me perfect," Keefe replied, trying to sound put out by my request. His grin totally negated it, though.
After a second, Keefe's fingers stilled on my hips. He leaned down to kiss me chastely before shifting himself, so he was once again sitting upright.
"Alright, next question," Keefe began.
"Keefe, I don't think this is helping," I laughed. He turned to look at me, his mouth dropping open.
"I am totally helping! I'm using negative reinforcement to encourage you to get the answers right."
I giggled again at his offended expression.
"But Keefe, I don't even remember the answer to the last question because I was so busy laughing!"
"If you don't appreciate, I guess I'll just leave then," Keefe said dramatically, turning away from me and throwing all my notecards in the air.
"Such a drama queen," I rolled my eyes. Sitting up, I turned his face towards mine and kissed him lightly.
"I was just trying to help," he pouted, sticking his bottom lip out histrionically.
"I know. I really do need to pass this midterm, though," I smiled.
"Yeah, whatever. Midterm, shmidterm."
"Just because you already graduated doesn't mean you need to be so averse to me succeeding," I joked, crossing my arms.
"Foster," Keefe drew out my name.
"Now go pick up my notecards."
