Sam's POV
After realising that Matt started to change me, I also realised that I hadn't seen April or Ruby in a while. So that day we met up for coffee in town. I wore a simple black jumper and pants and bright pink converse and Matt's beanie.
I pushed the icy front door of the coffee shop with an out spread hand and straight away spotted be girls. April ran to me with a hug clinging in to my body as if I was about to disappear forever. "Oh my god, Sam! I've missed you so much!" She says with actual tears in her eyes. I begin to laugh too because I've missed my best friend also. I hadn't seen her properly in a week and the fact that we live together is quite bad! I held on to her and inhaled the scent that only came with her. It reminded me of spring days after the rain had just watered the meadows... It reminded me of April showers.
I see Ruby sitting down at the table also and I take my seat next to her. We ordered some coffees and chatted about life. Then the conversation turned to something I really wish not to talk about my relationship. Since it's been so controlling over my life I thought this would be an escape but no. "So you and Matt?" Said April.
"Yous are official?" Ruby added.
I nod shyly in reply. Both girls coo over the last fact that I had revealed. Then the conversation changed slightly.... "You have you.... You know?" Ruby asked in a hushed tone.
"Have we what?" I asked in an confused tone.
"You know... Done it?!" April confirmed.
"What?! No!" I exclaimed. The girls laugh at my reaction but Ruby seems a bit shocked.
"I'm stunned! I heard that he is amazing in bed!" She sniggered, revealing more campus gossip.
"Well I don't know!" I laughed in reply to her.
"How long have you been together? 2 weeks?! Me and Andy did it on the first night!" Ruby bragged.
"Yeah well look how that turned out!" The words rolled off my tongue with out permission.
"What do you mean Sam?" She asked, surprisingly not angry but confused.
April butts in, "I think she means the night at the Glass Slipper."
"Oh right..." Ruby mumbled. She's not telling us something.
"Ruby?" I asked concerned.
Her head hung and avoided our eyes, that were pinned on her.
"You're not still with him!" April said, maybe too loud.
"Yeah... Sort of..." She mumbled. "He said he loved me. He told me everything he felt! He really does love me!" She exclaimed. I was still not convinced. Andy was a sly cunt when he wanted to be. I couldn't let him hurt her anymore.
"But he cheated! Once a cheater always a cheater!" April exploded.
"You don't know about us April!" Ruby snapped back.
"I know you! And I know him! He's a dick and you know it." April spat back, she stood up out of her seat, causing the table and cups to shudder.
"You don't know anything about is April! No one will, except us!"
"Well don't come crying when your so perfect boyfriend, fucks the next blonde who opens their legs for him!" April screamed.
Ruby's eyes flooding with tears, stood up and ran out the shop. April sat down slowly and placed her head in her hands.
