No one's POV
Soon, Yuka would slowly begin to open her eyes, the soft light filtering through the infirmary window making her squint.
Yuka: Huh...? Where am I?
Just as she pushed herself up, she noticed she was lying in the infirmary.
Yuka: How did I-
Without warning, she's suddenly enveloped in warmth. Taeko and Nana rushed to her side, wrapping their arms around her in a tight embrace.
Nana: Yukacchi! You're awake!
Nana exclaimed, her voice shaking with relief as tears streamed down her face.
Taeko: I was so scared!
Taeko cried, her own tears soaking into Yuka's shoulder.
Taeko: We thought we lost you!
Yuka blinked in surprise, as she looked at the two of them.
Yuka: W-What happened? How did I...?
She looked between her friends, bewildered.
At that moment, Liliana stepped into the room, a smile on her face that didn't quite mask the worry in her eyes.
Liliana: I'm glad to see you awake, Yuka. We were all worried.
Yuka: Thanks, Lilly...But... what exactly happened? I remember blacking out, but everything after that is a blur...
Yuka would soon look down, still shaken by being kidnapped by Masato and being relentlessly tortured and beaten by him, demanding information on Nhazul.
She would black in and out of consciousness throughout the whole ordeal, however she couldn't remember anything for after the last time. Nana took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts.
Nana: After you went missing, Hatake came back to search for you.
Yuka: Huh...?
Yuka would look at Nana surprised, as she continued.
Nana: We're still not sure what happened, but he fought and beat Thomas Andre and his entire Guild to get to you.
Yuka's eyes widened in disbelief.
Yuka: Hatake? He fought them? All by himself...?
The gravity of the situation sank in, and Yuka felt her cheeks flush.
Yuka's thoughts: I thought I was hallucinating when I saw him...
She thought, her heart racing as she recalled that moment. The way Nhazul had looked at her, fierce and protective, made her blush deepen.
Yuka's thoughts: He would risk starting a war just to protect me...? He really went that far for me...?
Yuka: Where is he now?
Yuka asked, her voice suddenly urgent.
Nana: He... he left right after he beat Mr Andre. He left that Ant monster to heal you.
Yuka's heart sank at the news.
Yuka: He left?
Yuka clutched her hand tightly to her chest, feeling a swell of emotions rising within her.
Taeko: Yuka? Are you okay?
Yuka looked up, more determined than ever.
Yuka: I need to tell him how I feel... I'm going to tell Hatake I'm in love with him...
Elsewhere, currently Thomas was standing outside in the courtyard, his arm bandaged up and in a sling, looking down at the spot where he was defeated.
