What can I say was normal about this day we fell into..Beautiful winter day, sunny...yeah that part was normal..But when my baby sister is clinging to me as we look out on the vast lands and see dead beings that only exist in fairytales, yet they are right in front of us, hundreds, elves, dwarves, orcs, even humans..Lots are dead, but some live, but hurt or crawling to safety..Normal day maybe in the twilight zone..

I can't explain it, my surroundings are oddly beautiful except for the war that is almost ended..In shock, yes I can honestly say I'm in shock, but not as much as Sonya..She kept herself hid in the man...whatever he is, his cloak as we were looked upon by all types of beings.

"Lass, I am sorry for calling you a male, names Balin, my brother Dwalin..But we don't have many females dressed in shiny pants and kill like you did." Balin said as he patted my arm.

"All good, not every day I kill...what ever that thing was.." I said looking back and up at our one time home.

"Azok, his name was Azok, a orc." Our King had thought he had killed it in another battle..But as you can see." Balin said as he lead me around falling debre and tricky icy spots.

"Yeah, well where we come from it pays to make sure what you are fighting is dead before walking away from the enemy." I said as Thorin turned and looked at me like I just slapped him.

"Deary, walk gently with your words." The tall skinny older man said.

"Sure, I guess your right.." And you are?" I asked seeing another short male walking with him, he looked different from the others.

"I'm Gandalf, The Grey." I see it now, you are from the outer realm." I have not seen the outer realm, but I have heard stories." Gandalf said as I noticed he did not miss on being hurt, he too was bleeding from head area.

"Ok, you have lost me..But I hope the stories tell you how we can get back to the outer realm..or more like home." I said as I drew my sister to me.

Gandalf just looked down at me as he chewed on his inner cheek squinted his eyes as if to study what I was saying...So I guess my question was answered..No.

"Sorry to ask this, but does she have a mate?" Another dwarf asked about Sonya who buried her face in my chest and whimpered.

Balin slapped the small one on the head.

"That was rude Ori.."Look!" The dwarves are coming home." Balin said excitedly.

"Only after the fighting is finished, why could they have not come when I asked them too?" Thorin asked as if speaking to himself.

I looked from Thorin as I felt somewhat sorry for him, to seeing droves of small people, males, females and smaller ones, my guess children..Looked as if they came out of the wood work..

There was still some fighting going on a bit away and could still smell the stench of blood, but that didn't spoil the excitement of the other new comers from gathering around the taller than most dwarf Thorin.

Both Sonya and I watched as Thorin greeted each of them as he could, at the same time he said something to them as they all looked our way, then the crowd moved and one dwarf with fire orange hair came walking over to us..I had to look down since my eyes met his forehead.

"Girl, you did a fine deed, you helped save our King, my cousin Thorin." Names Dain." Dain said as he slightly bowed his bloodied head. I bowed to him as well.

"It looked to me that, the King had his battle already won..I just finished the...what did you call it again?" I asked looking at Balin.

"Orc.(Azok)." Balin said in a whisper.
