Lesser of two evils..

Standing unseen where I could watch the comings & goings.

I watched as Galadriel and King Elrond leave the same way they came in..out the front..Also watched Thorin leave his study for his own bed chamber..He never came for me, even as I waited to see if he would come and explain himself..again he did nothing.

I watched as Princess Nina sat quietly down below near the large fireplace..Now she is a hard one to read, in so many ways I felt sorry for her..To come here and present herself for Thorin in hopes he would soon make her his Queen..And now to know he has claimed me..But that isn't what I see in her, but the opposite..

I watch her more as Bofur walked into the room..Her face lit up as he said something to her before leaving the room once more..Then Nina went quietly back into herself.

Slowly I made my way down to the same room Nina sat.

"Can not sleep either Lady Elise?" Nina asked as I sat with Thorin's family linage document in my hands....sorry..my family linage as well, not just Thorin's.

"No..no I can't." I said as I stared into the high flames of the fire.

" I hate being a female sometimes, don't you just hate how they can force you into doing things you don't want to do?" Nina asked.

"Don't hate being a female, just do something about it..It is what I'm going to do." I said.

"Sure you say that, your human and I'm a princess." I'm sorry Lady Elise, I didn't mean it to sound that way.." Nina said getting red in the face.

"All good..Royalty isn't all it's cracked up to be..I'd rather be me..than you." Listen I'm going to bed..Have a safe trip home tomorrow." I said as I stood up.

"Your not going to see us off tomorrow?" Nina asked.

"I'm sure someone will see you and your family off..Good night & good-bye." I said leaving the room.

Laid on my bed watching Ra and Cleo play.

Galadriel said they have claimed me as their mother and I cannot give them away..Does it have to be me or any female to train them? Well it will have to be another female, for when I leave, I can not take Ra & Cleo with me.

From the stories I heard of 'Smaug' who ripped this country side apart, think of what two dragons can do in Thorin's Army.

The way I see it, Thorin will never have to bow or beg to anyone ever again..For it will be him that rules and the one who will be feared and begged to.

But I won't be here to see that.

Placed Ra and Cleo in their cage, they are highly restless and I fear they know something isn't right...Spoke to them...they now belong to King Thorin.

After a long moment of watching my dragons, I put on my dark furred cloak and left to saddle a horse..

Outside the lonely mountain, to my right was the way to the elves and to my left..more mountains..Mountains it is then.

Grey morning sky peeked through and threatened more snow..Still late March, so possible, but so tired of snow.

Found as I went higher in the mountains, the more steep it became and my horse has lost her footing a few times already.

From some where high above me came a rumbling sound..Not quite sure what to make of it, but it scared my horse, she wouldn't go no further..only danced around and around..

It was then too late to move out of the way, by the time I saw the bolder as big as my horse come over the snowy cliff..no where to run, no where to hide.
