Ra & Cleo to the rescue

Thorin had some hope that they would find his sister and his soon-to-be-Queen Elise alive..

So sure they would have thought of this one place sooner or later, but it took the bowman to not give up, the one male Thorin believed to had a bigger chance with Elise than he..That is since Bard is of her race..Thorin wouldn't have stopped her if she went for Bard instead of himself..

But now as Thorin reach a help-up hand to Bard, he was thankful the man didn't give up hope on the human girl..Bard excepts the strong hand up from Thorin as the two climbed further up..

Once up at the top, the scene is noticeable from the time Thorin unlocked the secret door..Found it still open.

"Balin, why would Dis and Elise be in the tunnels in the first place?" Thorin asked as Ra & Cleo flew on ahead in the mountain.

"Could be, I believe it to be that Elise has found where the shaking of the castle could have came from." Balin said as he ran his hand down the length of his long white beard.

"Why has this not been brought to my attention before now?" Thorin asked as he looked at all this men he had with him for answers.

"To think about it Thorin, it was bad time for us all..Smaug did destroy some of the columns in the room with all the gold." Bilbo said as Thorin listened to him intently.

Ra & Cleo flew on ahead through the secret door to go find the scent of their master..

Stone steps destroyed, walls of solid rock where none use to be..

Ra & Cleo flew off in different directions as if they had lost their master's scent..then pausing in mid-air before coming back together in one area like blood hound on a hunt.

"If the lassies made it there..I'd say there could be a chance..a big chance they are alive." Balin said as he looked to his King, beginning to sweat as he looked over what was left of Treasure horde of Erebor.

Gandalf touched Thorin with the tip of his staff.

"Wake up boy..we are here to find Dis and Elise." Gandalf said as Thorin snapped out of the slight spell he was under.

Taking safe steps climbing the falling stone to reach the rooms above that were seemingly untouched by the collapsing mountain.Bilbo and Bard went one way as the others went another way where Balin thought could be where the females made their last stand.

Dis heard movement outside the stone room she was in before seeing the flicker of fire light between the cracks.

"Here!!" I'm here." Dis yelled out.

"Thorin!" Balin called out as he heard Dis's voice..Thorin ran back to Balin, Gandalf not far behind.

"Dis, we are here." Give us time to get you out." Is Elise with you?" Thorin asked as he and the rest began to move 100's of pounds of stone like it was nothing as they were freeing Dis.

"She is here, but not with me..We were parted." It has been sometime since I heard her...Brother I believe Elise's side got the worse of the collapse." Dis called out as now she could see some of what was going on.

Thorin and Balin worked on Elise's side, but rubble and debris began to fall.

"Careful Thorin, don't cause anymore to fall." Gandalf said as he brushed off the dust that settled on his shoulder as he looked up to see unstable rock.

"Gandalf this I know, we are running out of time." Thorin said as if in a plea for help..

"Thorin, help the others with your sister." Take the dragons out of here with you." Gandalf ordered.

"I will not leave her." Thorin said through gritted teeth, not noticing his sister was free from her one time stone coffin.

"No time to argue Thorin, do you trust me?" Leave." Gandalf said as his staff began to light up.

Thorin took one last look Elise's way before calling Ra & Cleo to him..He joined Bard and the others as they helped Dis over the fallen stone.

Outside, air was priceless to Dis..

Thorin sent Dis and the others down the mountain, he wouldn't have the last of his family die..Not today, if Gandalf couldn't bring Elise out, then his line dies here.

Mountain shook once more, dark pillows of grey dust bellowed out through the secret door..So dark you could not see through it.

Gandalf protected Thorin with his protective spell till the shaking ended.

The air cleared of dust & debris.

Thorin stood to find Gandalf laying Elise's lifeless body on the ground..He rushed to aid Gandalf, Only to be pushed away..

"Elise." Gndalf softly said as he began to whisper more words as he waved his leather worn hands over Elise's body till he began to stir and speak.

My throat was dry and sore from breathing in the dust..but I could have sworn I heard Thorin's voice.

"Thorin, I know you are here...I know I heard your voice." I said before coughing to get the dust out of my lungs.

Gandalf looked to Thorin as he rushed over to me.

"Elise, I'm here and I will never leave you alone." Thorin said as he pulled me to him.

"Don't make promises you can not keep my King." I said laughing hoarsely.

"Come Thorin before this mountain claims the three of us." Gandalf said as he began the long descend down the face of the mountain.

Almost dark when Thorin made it down the mountain with Gandalf and Elise.

Bard offered 'Dale' to Thorin and his people till they could figure out what to do next.

Thorin has spoke about returning to the 'Blue Mountains' when Dis and Elise were well enough to travel..
