Fire and Ice

Mother of the greatest army.

One month has passed and no word of Thorin or his men.

Yet time came when I woke up to a loud commotion outside my room in the hall..I threw on my cloak and went out..Found Balin leading  dwarves that were carrying one of their own.

I stop Gandalf who didn't notice me standing there.

"You might want to bring your black bag, four of Thorin's men have been hurt..And Thorin was one of them." Gandalf said as I dropped that last order so in order to get a look at Thorin.

I couldn't let the worse draw dark images in my mind of Thorin, what if he were too bad I couldn't save, no matter how much training I had under my belt..But enough of that for now, Thorin & his men needed me.

Went to see Thorin first only to have him growl orders for me to see to his men first..I did as told without arguing, but mostly needed their bleeding stopped and or stitches.

I saw to Thorin's men's needs before going to Thorin, only to find him in so much pain he was striking out at his own men who were only trying to help.

Standing beside his large bed and looking down at Thorin who grinned up at me..

"You so funny my king..Balin go get my medical bag, I have saved my kind of medicine just for this." I ordered.

I took hold of Thorin's wrist to check his pulse, only to have him pull away.

"Thorin!! Enough!" I yelled which caught his attention and that worked.

Blooded from head to boot, not knowing what his injuries were, but fight all of us trying to help him was only making it worse.

"Here Lady Elise, he's calm, what happened?" Balin asked as I brought out a needle full of morphine.

"Elise being louder than Thorin is what stopped him." Dwalin said as he leaned back against the wall and crossed hiss arms.

"Ok men, I need him disrobed..I can't do this with all those cloths on him." I ordered as I stepped back for his men to go for him.

"Touch me and I will kill all of you." Thorin growled and honestly being the scariest I have seen him be since being here.

All of his men stepped back and looked at me..

"Ok, listen we can do it the easy way and you sure as hell can't take your own cloths off, allow your men to do it...or I will..and one of us might not enjoy it." I said growing  pair and I hope he takes the bait, for it might be me that might not like it.

"Your not woman enough, but I dare you to try." Thorin said as he propped himself up.

"Elise, don't..I have an easier way..I'll say a few words and then he is all yours." Gandalf said as he began speaking in some odd tongue..

Dis came forth and disrobed Thorin to his waist, then cleaned him, the whole time we all felt the eyes of a wounded animal upon us..His eyes maybe ice blue, but even ice can burn.

"What is that?" Dis asked as I sat on the bed beside of Thorin and began putting the needle in his vain.

"Mixture of something for the pain and to put him to sleep while I work on him." You all know this isn't good, I can't go inside him to see what other damage has been done..A few of those cuts are long and deep and he is loosing blood as we speak..Stay if you must, but don't mess with me..This is my first being to try and save..Thorin is strong and he has that on his side.." I said as I took my cross necklace in my hands and prayed for help and to let me bring Thorin out of this..He is these people's King.

"What was that all about?" Dwalin asked as I kissed my cross and looked to the heavens.

"I prayed for help from my higher power to help Thorin." I said as every eye went to the heavens.
